Fireworks viewing from beach

Are you able to see magic kingdoms wishes from the Forts beach area? Tks

A lot of FW people do watch the MK fireworks from the beach, but the lower ones are not visible because of the trees on Discovery Island.

To us, it is a very poor excuse of a viewing place, but a lot of people like it because they don't have to go anywhere to see them.

The transportation boats do not stop, so you have the noise and distraction from them, also the people boarding, and departing them. Also a lot of the lights usually stay on at the docks. Some have said they go out, but the times we have tried to view them there, they stayed on the whole time.

Guess you will have to try a viewing from there and make your own decision.
'Nothing' beats being at the MK to watch them. ;) The music makes them come alive to us. Yes, it's usually piped in at FW, but is not very loud.

The next best place to MK, IMO, is the beach at the Polynesian. It's closer, and not as obstructed. pixiedust:

Another good place to watch the fireworks is from the 4th floor observation deck of the Contemporary. You can boat over to the CR, go up to the level that has the big interior concourse, and walk out the end of the building nearest the MK.

There is a big outside patio deck with a few benches. Some folks (including us) went up the external stairs on the undersides of the Concourse building and saw the fireworks a few more floors higher. We were RIGHT over where the monorail went into the building (uncomfortably close IMO).

They pipe in the fireworks music at CR just like at the FW beach. Get there about 30 minutes before the fireworks start.

We watched two different firework shows from the Fort Wilderness beach in December, (Wishes and the one from Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party).

True, it's not like being at the Magic Kingdom but we thought it was a great viewing location. They did turn off some of the lights and the music is piped in. The boats and people were not a distraction to us. We knew they were there, but it didn't take away from the view of the fireworks.

We actually saw some details that we hadn't noticed being close up at the Magic Kingdom.

We have watched from the Contemporary viewing area before and enjoyed the Ft. Wilderness beach view just as much.

Be sure and stay after fireworks for the electric water parade. Definitely a great viewing area for that. Also, don't think dock will block your view. You will have a great view when the light show begins.

Once in a while we will catch the boat and if we time it just right we get to watch most of the fireworks on the water. There are a few areas that have obstructed views but it's nice to be on the boat at night (careful not to sit to close to the motor) under the stars and see the fire works. When we do time it right, it's our favorite way to watch (with exception of being right in MK of course ;)!!!)
