What is your favorite place to watch fireworks from at MK and Epcot?:mickeyjum

MK - From the TOTWL at BLT

Epcot - from either France or the other end by the Friendship boat dock.

MK - from BTMRR :goodvibes

EPCOT - anyplace that's not jam packed & no island in the way.

I think you forgot to post the poll.

We like Illuminations and Wishes best. LOVE the photo montage they do on the castle now before Wishes! Fantasmic is kind of boring anymore.

For Wishes, I have to be directly in front of the castle...so anywhere on Main Street.

For Illuminations, I don't have a favorite spot. We just find a spot shortly before it starts where we'll have at least a decent view.

MK - Between the central hub and tomorrowland there is a bridge/walk way. there are some seats there and tinker bell flies right over your head!!

EPCOT - new fav is Italy.

Can't wait to check them out in 2 weeks!!!

MK - My "favorite" spot is from a fireworks cruise. In the park, I like to be dead center on Main Street. Yes, it's more crowded and a pain in the neck after the show, but I really enjoy seeing the fireworks right over the castle for full effect.

Epcot: We've viewed them most often from the Canada/England area. Watched them from Mexico for the first time last year, and think that's our new favorite location.

After taking a Disney Institute tour of Epcot a few years ago, we got VIP passes for the platform in Venice. That was nice, because it wasn't very crowded.

I think the best overall view changes from day to day based on which way the smoke blows, though.

EPCOT steps of japan building

MK - middle of main street- especially NYE

I would like to know more about the fireworks that are at DHS twice a year!

My favorite place to watch Wishes is from a boat with the music.
I love to watch Illuminations from the bridge right by the International Gateway.

Our favorite spot for Wishes is at Narcoossee's.

For Illuminations, we enjoy the view from our room at BWV. :goodvibes

:earsboy: Bill

For Wishes, it has to be right in front of the castle to watch and get the full effect. We have also watched from the top of the train station, but for the photo montage, that is a bit far away. I agree that the crowd at the end is awful, but we just move along with it, and once you get out of the park it's no problem.

For Illuminations, we used to always like the bridge at Mexico the best or that little park near the Rose and Crown. The park near the Rose and Crown has not been available for a few years now, and you have to get a spot on the Mexico bridge very early. Now we tend to gravitate toward the end of the walkway from FW to WS, and get a nice spot there between the two sales areas.

MK we usually always watch in front of the castle but on Main Street from time to time. Epcot I don't usually watch Illimuninations anymore.

Never thought about it before, but is there a big difference between watching the MK fireworks from "in front of the castle" and "on main street" ?

Noticed there are not many TOTWL replies here for MK fireworks viewing.

For MK, it's the foot of Main Street. If you get too close to the castle, the castle blocks much of the fireworks.

For EPCOT, I have several favorite spots. I check to see which way the wind is blowing, and then go wherever the wind is at my back. That way, you don't have smoke between you and the fireworks, dulling the effect.

I agree; we like Norway, and sometimes Germany, and often the English Channel bridge. We love the parks near the bridge, if they're not booked for private events.

For MK we like off-center: the planter in the Rose Garden on the way to the old Swan boats, or the walkway in-between the Crystal Palace, and the main walkway to where the Hall of Presidents is located.

MK - out on the balcony of California Grill, but of course when we are staying at BLT...our own balcony.

Epcot - The bridge right by International Gateway or if we are in Epcot, in France right in front of Chefs de France.
