We going to WDW 9-5 to 9-10, Does anyone know if they still do the fireworks & parades at this time since the parks close so early. We will be there during Labor day are the parks open later on that day??

Thanks a Bunch!

I have gone the last couple of times in September. I believe the fireworks are nightly year round. I also think the parades are an everyday occurance, too.

September is a great time to visit!! Have fun.:sunny:

I know they still have the day parades but I don't know about the night ones and I thought the fireworks were only weekends.

We have gone twice during the labor day week and the parades are every day. The fireworks are weekends and a night or two during the week. Same with the night parade. I think we went to MK on Thursday night to see the night parade and fireworks, but don't hold me to it...

Wonderful wonderful wonderful time to go.

The lines are nonexistent. We were the only 3 people in the entire Pirates que (long walk with no line ;) ). When we got there the CM was so glad to see "people"...ha! Same with Buzz, they let us ride over and over without getting off the ride because there was no one in line waiting!!

How encouraging to hear (about the crowds!)

We are going from 8/31 to 9/8. Dd starts school on 9/9, we plan to live it up before school starts.

I know that I am speculating here, but it is my understanding that Wishes would run every night, so I am hoping that MK stays open a little later to get those fireworks off. We will be there over Labor Day weekend and expect MK to be open late that weekend and have all the usual activities. Can't wait for hours to come up.

Also, us early Sept folks will be making our ressies in a few days :teeth: !

We are going in September too! I have read so much about it being not as busy, I only worry about the weather... rain.

Does anyone know about that?

We've been going in September since 1986 (the first time was for our honeymoon). Fireworks are always on the weekends - typically the only time that the parks seemed mobbed. Weekdays are great - few lines, little waiting. Usually rains in the afternoon then dries up just as fast. It's still hot during the day and mild to slightly cool at night. We're going back on 9/26 this year - catching the first day of the Halloween party on the 1st. Can't wait!

We go mid to late Sept. The fireworks and spectro have been Sat nights only.

The hours just depend on the crowd "forcast". If WDW thinks the crowds will be higher, more hours, etc.

We love going in Sept but since our DD starts kindergarten next year, our Sept trips are going to be limited.....:(

When I was there Sept 23-29 it rained everyday. It only last about 10 minutes which is typical Sept weather for Florida. We had one bad day of rain where it lasted a few hours but it should be no biggie.

Wow! Thanks everyone!! I can't believe how many people go in September. I wonder how it's not crowded when so many people go at that time?

Thanks again!

WE HIT THE DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!!!!!!

I'm looking forward to this time; this will be our 9th visit to WDW and it has alway been crowded the times that we went; it will probably feel a little strange. BTW, I'm using last year's calendar for planning purposes. We're empty nester now, don't have to go during the summer period. My gosh!!! Maybe we can have a empty nester's convention at WDW!!!

Does anyone know if will be necessary to make PS for dining (i.e. Contemporary and Artist Point)?

Looking back on the past 2 yrs Sept park hours on a few websites, it seems that MK closed early on everyday Labor Day weekend - 8pm was the latest on Monday - 6pm on the Sat of Labor Day!!!! - why would that be?? I can understand the crowds aren't that bad but why are Sept Labor Day hours less than Oct hours?

Also the Spectromagic was only showed twice all of last Sept EVERY other weekend (Sat night 13th and 29th?) and not Laor Day weekend AT ALL - as this one website had listed.

Does MK tend to close at 6 or 7pm like it listed as early as Sept 1st? That seems so early when it is still light out?? I want to enjoy MK at night too.

I am curious what you other September vactioners thought. Is this true or was the previous calenders wrong.
