Thanks!
I don't think we can avoid a Wednesday, but we can try.
I hope its not too crazy, as we'll only have 2 days to do this, and I want to see as much as possible.
Is doing the studios like doing the California Adventure at DL? There's cool things, just not nearly as much as in DL park. Is that the case?
Also, will ToT be open by December?
Do regular park guests able to get fastpasses?
Wednesday is not often crazy, it's just busier than other midweek days. Maybe you should do the Studios on the Wednesday. It is smaller than DCA, quite a bit. Imagine Hollywood pictures backlot at DCA and it's about the same size (with a few more attractions). Do not misses for the Studios (for DL/WDW vets) are Cinemagique, Crush, and Armageddon (in order of importance - assuming you have seen Moteurs Action in Florida). The Tram Tour and Animation Tour are slightly better than WDW's, but not must do's if short on time. Animagique is a cute character blacklight show, but again if short on time skipable (unless you are a character fan - my wife and kids love this one).
ToT is unlikely to be open as the official opening is set for Jan - but who knows, you may get lucky. Just don't set your heart on it.
As for DLP, for Disney vets, do not miss: Phantom Manor, BTM, Pitares of the Caribbean, Adventure Isle, It's a Small World, the castle walk through with Dragon and Space Mountain . Smaller but unique attractions to DLP include the Passage of Aladdin, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril coaster, Alice's Curious Labrynth and the NAutilus walk through. Storybook land is a little different from
Disneyland's but it is often closed in Winter.
For shows, the Lion King is excellent broadway quality, Mickey's Winter Wonderland is a cute show (with ice skating) and the new parade is lovely. Do not miss the tree lighting ceremony at that time of the year.
For me the outstanding attractionis Buffalo Bill's Wild West show. Being a texan you might be inclined to skip, but it is a near perfect reconstruction of BB's touring show to Paris 105 years ago! Wonderful.
