Fireworks in August?

We will be back at the RPR for the last week of July and first week of August (yes, I know it will be hot and busy! ) and I was wondering if there will be fireworks at universal during this time?

Also does everything stay open until 10:00 along with the park or do some rides/shows close earlier?

They will probably be doing the Cinesphere 360 show when you are there. Fireworks and lasers are in the show. Barney show, parts of KidZone, Fear Factor, and Animal Actors usually are not open until closing but you will need to check the park maps for times. MIB sometimes closes an hour before fireworks, just depending on the fireworks show they are doing.

Where do the fireworks happen? IOA or US? And are they usually the last thing that happens like at disney? i.e as the parks close?

The cinespehere show is in the lagoon at Universal at park closing or sometimes 10-15 minutes before closing. The times will be listed in the park maps.
