We have a 7:45 ADR for Kona during our trip. It's also MNSSHP night. Will we still be able to watch Hallowishes from the beach? Are the bungalows and construction now in the way? We haven't been to the Poly since they started all the construction.

If this isn't a good place to watch, what would you recommend? Kona is not a must do for us, so we're willing to change it. Would we be better off with Narcoossee's?

I think you can still see from there. If not, there's definitely a view from the luau side of the beach, closer to GF.

I can give a bit of advice:
We were down in May...dinner at Kona. The beach to the far left is where we ended up. Saw the fireworks but no music. My children were located near the boat rental. Music but not a good view.

We just came back from long, long weekend for 4th of July. Had dinner at Narcoossees for the 4th Celebration. OK...it is worth every dollar you spend. Food, service and fireworks were fantastic. Fireworks were so late due to the thunderstorms, they didn't rush us...we finished dinner and went out and "stand near the bend facing the magic kingdom". It is a perfect view. Do not stand down to the far right hand side...not good. We have seen the fireworks many times there. It is such a "magical place". Our reservations were at 7:30. Sat at 8 pm..second level..so don't worry..you can just go outside and view them and come back in. No need to get a window table..people stand in front of you outside.

OK. Enough of the secrets. Go to dinner, relax and enjoy. Best $$$ we spent for a forever memory.

You can see the MK fireworks shows very well from the TTC

(and they pipe-in clear, crisp audio from the show.)

Note: you are not allowed to stand directly in the actual Ferry loading area.

You can see them from the boat-dock and an outside

observation deck near Narcoossee's restaurant at the

Grand Floridian. Anyone can stand on Narcoossee's Deck.

The outside deck is not a part of the actual restaurant. (All serving is done inside.)

The deck is accessed from the sidewalk outside the restaurant.

Also, good viewing from the Patio overlooking the Marina.

The sound of the show is piped into these areas too.

At the Contemporary, there is viewing on an outdoor

observation area on the 4th floor.

The California Grill observation areas are reserved for patrons that day of the Grill or Bar.

At Wilderness Lodge, the "secret place" to watch the MK fireworks is from the northern area of the Cast Member (CM) Parking Lot.

At the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds Marina (angle shown on the map below,) some of the view (especially of the "Fantasyland" pyro) is blocked by the now unused Discovery Island in Bay Lake and by the high-rise buildings of the Contemporary Resort.

But, the view from the Ft. Wilderness' sand beach (farther north) is more open.

Still the tree-level can block the views of the lower-firing pyro.

Here are the angles of the views in the Bay Lake area.

Below are the angles of the views in the Seven Seas Lagoon area.

As for viewing from INSIDE the dining area of restaurants

(you usually need ADRs for most, and they are usually busy during the shows)...

you can see (and hear) them at California Grill at Contemporary,

'Ohana at the Poly, at Trader Sam's and Trader Sam's outdoor patio at the Poly, Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian,

and (if you have access there) the Top of the World at Bay Lake Tower.
