Fireworks from places other than park

We are arriving on 11/12...this Saturday! We aren't getting into MCO until mid afternoon so we are not going to go to a park that day. But we have dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's at 6:40 and were wondering if there are places outside of the parks to see either Illuminations at 9:00 or Wishes at 10:00 or if Spectromagic would be visible outside MK at 9:00?

I am not sure where you are staying, but you can see Wishes from the beach at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian if you are at one of those places. I understand you can also see Wishes from the top of the parking garage at Shades of Green, but have not done that myself (yet).

You can see some of the illuminations fireworks if you are on the Boardwalk.

Well since you are going to be at Chef Mickey's for dinner, I would suggest grabbing a boat across Bay Lake when you are finished. Head over to Fort Wilderness. You can see both the fireworks from the beach AND at about 9:45, you can see the Electrical Boat Parade. If you get there ahead of time, the Settlement Depotmarina area is loads of fun to walk around.

Another spot for Wishes is the boat landing at the Transportation and Ticket Center...the audio is also piped in at that location, as well as the locations mentioned above.

I am pretty sure that there is no where outside MK to see Spectro.

Illuminations can be viewed from the Boardwalk. A good spot is either one of the bridges. Either the one connecting Beach Club to the Boardwalk, or the one connecting the Swan/Dolphin to the Boardwalk. I would recommend the one connecting Swan/Dolphin to the Boardwalk. You can see more and it's more enjoyable.

I have to say though, Illuminations has a lot of lower fireworks that can't be seen here. You can usually hear the music and you can see some countries, mostly France's Eiffel Tower light up occasionally.

Wishes you can see at almost any Magic Kingdom resort. Probably the best spots are on the beaches of Poly or Grand Floridian. If you're at the Contempory, you can probably see some there too.

Spectro is a parade, so I don't think you'll be able to see anything.

The last time I visited the Poly there was a time limit on parking there, maybe 1.5 hours? Is this still in place? Would I be turned away since my only reason for being at the Poly is to watch Wishes?

when we stayed at CBR we watched Illuminations from the CBR beach. It is far away and you can't see the lower fireworks. But we really enjoyed it for something different. We had already seen them from Epcot.

Just to let everyone know...if you go to the Poly to watch Wishes, they don't always pipe in the music. I know in the past (maybe a year or two ago) I have gone there and you could hear the music, but I just got back from WDW and we went to the Poly the last night we were there. We had a great view of Wishes, but they didn't play the music. It just wasn't the same

After you leave Chef Mickey go right outside on the same level that Chef Mickeys is on... there are benches out there, it is Amazing to see how far away the fireworks really are from the park. We usually walk up a few floors to see the fireworks, there are outside stairs, but any of the balconies are great!!! Here are some pictures from last years MVMCP... enjoy!!!
