Fireworks from our verandah...

We were on the Dream in May, and watched the fireworks from our stateroom verandah (12524). There are 9 of us in 3 rooms in November (9596, 9598, and 9600). I'm reading that some rooms from mid-ship to aft may have little notes asking them to not watch the fireworks from their verandahs, due to safety concerns. (Totally get it, we're fine with it.) We don't mind going up on deck to watch them, but we were more excited about watching from our verandahs (we're already planning on asking them to open the partitions so we can create SUPER VERANDAH :jumping1:). Have any of y'all stayed in one of these three rooms and watched from there? I'm not seeing a specific block of rooms listed (I searched and didn't find it... if it's there and I missed it, I'm sorry!), so I figured I'd ask. Thanks in advance!

We did a couple of “last” minute cruises, about a month out, and had deck 10 just a little more midship and aft from your cabins listed. We did not receive a note about the fireworks and one time did watch from the veranda even though the view was partially obstructed by the overhang. That was about 5 years ago.

That might have changed, I remember about two years ago we walked out of O’Gills to the starboard side during fireworks and found a smoldering shell. Notified a crew member so they could dispose of it properly.

We stayed 9574 on the Fantasy in November and did not have any notes about staying off the verandah.

We ordered cookies and milk and watched the fireworks from our balcony before putting the kids to bed.

Perfect. This is excellent news. We'll be having cookies and wine and watching the fireworks before putting ourselves to bed. :earboy2:

Thanks! And thanks to you too, @ScooterScott44!

I'm wondering how your view was in 12524. We'll be in 12510. Sometimes it's hard to find a good place on deck to watch, but I don't want to completely miss the fireworks trying to watch from our room if that's not a great view! Also, can you hear the music from the verandah? Thanks for any info.

We were right under the fireworks last March. DH stayed on the balcony, but the rest of us went upstairs. He did not have as good a view as we did. They are not meant to be viewed farther away, so they're quite close to the ship and the overhang obstructed his view.

And yes, we got the letter.

I thought our view was pretty great. We saw much if it, although not all of it. Two of us had seen them several times, and it was our friend’s first time. None of us wanted to miss them completely, but we just weren’t in the mood for the crowds up on deck (we wanted our pajamas and cheese plates, haha). I could hear some of the music. But others around us had the same idea we did, and I heard more “oohs” and “ahhs” than music (they weren’t being loud, but when it’s right next door, it sort of covered up the music). If it’s something you absolutely don’t want to miss, brave the crowds and go upstairs. :)

We could watch them from 9612 on the Dream; we didn't receive a note asking us to stay inside. Like mentioned above, the view wasn't the greatest. We had to kind of crouch down to be able to really see them.
