Fireworks dessert after party question

Hi all!

We snagged two reservations, which were pretty difficult to get:

Be Our Guest at 6:50pm for a party of 8

Fireworks Dessert after party with my wife, three year old, and myself.

The check in time for the fireworks party is at 7:15pm, which is obviously only 25 minutes after our dinner reservation.

My question is thus: Do you think it will be feasible for us to have dinner (let grandparents take care of dinner bill and pay them back later), and then run over to the check in before the fireworks start? Basically how strict is the 7:15pm check in time if the fireworks don't start until 8:15pm? Can we walk right up to the check in at 8pm, with the understanding we might not get the "best" spot in the viewing garden?

Any help or advice much appreciated!

I'm sorry to say, I don't think this is a feasible plan. It is not a quick walk from BOG to Tomorrowland Terrace and you are going to be walking through crowded areas at that point, so you would probably need to be walking out of BOG by, about 7:30 - 7:40 pm at the very latest to even make it to check-in for the party at 8 pm. BOG can take up to 90 minutes for the full meal. You are only allowing 30 minutes to eat dinner. I think you are going to end up with 2, very expensive, stressful, subpar experiences if you try to do this. I would pick one or the other, try to move BOG to an earlier time, or try to do BOG and the party on separate days.

Be Our Guest often runs late in seating. You may barely be seated by 7:15. And with a party of 8, you may not even be done eating by 8:15. BOG is all inclusive, you’ll be getting a 3 course meal & may not want any other desserts even by the time fireworks are over.
