Fireworks Cruises

I'm doing the wishes one on Dec 24th  I'll be sure to give you plenty of impressions.

We did the Wishes cruise as a treat for our parents after our informal family/wedding rehearsal dinner. It was wonderful! We got the slightly bigger boat which has the music piped in...I'm not sure if there was a price difference and/or what it was.

We left from GF and our guide took us past the Poly and Contemporary and then over to WL giving us bits of trivia, etc all along the way. Then we settled in for the fireworks show. Afterwards, we got to see the Electric Water Pagent which was a nice bonus. My only complaint (which shouldn't affect you...depending on when you go) was that we went on Oct 21st and even though it wasn't a MNSSHP night, they showed Hallowishes instead of Wishes (evidently in late Oct they begin showing it every night). We were already going to MNSSHP on another night and I was really looking forward to seeing the regular Wishes performance as it was our first trip...but it was still a very nice cruise. The boat was stocked with sodas & chips for us (although we were already stuffed from Narcoossees!)

I definitely recommend it!

Please do! I look forward to hearing about it!

That sounds great! From where do the cruises depart? We're staying at the Poly, but I saw where at least a couple of them left from GF.
My grandparents' anniversary falls right in the middle of our trip. I'm sending them to Artist Point for dinner, but I thought this might be a fun thing for all of us to do together. Glad you enjoyed it!

Have booked a Illuminations cruise for Jan28....Departs Yacht Club Marina, need 6 more people.

Are there any fireworks cruises that hold more than 13 people? :confused3 I wanted to do a fireworks cruise instead of an Illuminations Dessert party after our wedding but I guess I'm out of luck.

You can try to reserve two boats, they will make sure that they are parked side-by-side for IllumiNations.

From what I recall the Wishes cruise can depart from GF, Poly or WL (and I'm guessing the Contemporary but that wasn't one I was interested in at the time, so I'm not sure).

Yes, you can get two boats. Just be sure to call FIRST thing in the morning as soon as you are within the time limit (90 days out I believe) and make sure the CM gets the boats BEFORE taking all your information! I originally wanted to get 2 boats for Illuminations for after our ceremony...I started calling at 6:55am and at 7am got through to a CM who said "no problem"...took down all my info and then said 5 minutes later "oh, there aren't any available sorry". Obviously, she was new or didn't have a clue because she should have reserved the boats first and then taken care of the details!

Best of luck! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!! :cheer2:

DF and I will be honeymooning in just a few days and we (along with 8 other DISers) will be taking a Wishes Cruise. We are departing from the GF Marina and have a pontoon boat, snacks and drinks, and the music from Wishes to be piped in. Be sure to check out my Trip Report to see how it all goes!!

This is something I'd really like to do with our family during our 12/08 trip. How can I find out cost and all the other information I'd need to book it? TIA!

I booked ours by calling 1-407-WDW-PLAY. Just follow the prompts!!! A Wishes Cruise for up to 10 people, Snacks and Drinks, Captain, and Wishes soundtrack on the Pontoon boat comes to $250 plus tax and tip.
