Fireworks Cruise

Hi there...

I find this idea really intriguing.. but can you do a cruise for just 2?

At first I though they had a large boat that many different people go on at the same time.. but now I hear it is smaller vessels and they are just for you?

Anyone know the scoop on fireworks cruises... price ranges.. can you get meals & drinks??

I'm so confuzzled... this would be for August and just for 2 of us.

I just booked a specialty cruise for the MK fireworks for DH and my anniversary later this month. It will only be DH, DS and me and the reservation CM didnt seem to have any problem with that. It is a pontoon boat, I believe, that holds up to 12. We purchased the plan that has cokes, sandwiches, and snacks. HTH!

Yes you can.......I could not get Illuminations but I booked the MK fireworks cruise(you meet the MK FW boat at the GF marina). I have read that is just as nice. The cost is $120.00 for the boat . I ordered champagne ($50.00) tuxedo strawberries ($50.00) and festive decorations ($20.00). The boat they are using is a pontoon boat, I think it holds 12, but it is just for the 2 of us. I think its a nice way to end a great dinner at one of the GF restaurants. We have it booked for our trip in may i have never done this before and never heard about it until this board

So what exactly does a pontoon boat look like? If there are only 2 people riding, does that mean there is like 10 extra chairs? Or will they be removed?

Can you bring your own food on board or do you have to go through Disney?

The "seats" are long bench style. (Padded and comfy) We took one in Feb and shared it with total strangers jsut to bring down the cost (paid $16 per person). Everyone was friendly on the docl but we all really kept to ourselves oln the "cruise". It was a fabulous experience!

Did you arrange the extras when you booked or did you have to call another # after you got your cruise?

I want to do this with DS11 during our next trip.

I ordered the extras when I booked the cruise, one easy phone call. I think (?) the number is 1-407 wdw-play. If that is incorrect, the number is listed in the posts regarding "Illuminations cruises - where to find one..." - just ask for a MK cruise. You may have to book 2, due to the fact that the hours are not posted yet. When the hours are out just cancel one. You need a CC to reserve but the cruise is paid when you go.
