Fireworks before parade?

The schedule is showing that on Oct. 8th, the fireworks will be at 9:30 and the parade AFTER at 10:45.

Does anyone know how this might play out?

What time can we plan on getting a spot on Main Street to watch the fireworks? And then how are they going to get the crowds out of the streets for the parade?

Any advice at all on how we might handle this?

The won't really need to clear the crowds out the street until the parade starts, so they have at least an hour or so to do that. It's not that much different than when they had the parade presented at 8:50 pm and 11:00 pm and fireworks at 9:30 pm. Guests tend to clear out of the fireworks viewing areas pretty quickly because once fireworks are over, there really isn't any reason to remain standing there. As soon as fireworks end, you'll need to head to your desired PtN viewing spot if you want a front row spot.

It depends on how good a view you want and where on MS you want to be. Closer to the castle and towards the middle of the street will fill up first. I would probably aim to be there at least 45 minutes before the show starts, but closer to an hour (to 1.5 hours) if you want a better spot.

So you think they'll start letting people fill the streets about an hour before the fireworks are set to start?

Fireworks are very popular, so I don't think they'd stop you from showing up whenever you wanted (except you'd have to clear the street for Soundsational, but that's in the late-afternoon). There will be guests waiting for fireworks from at least an hour beforehand, if not earlier. Places like the hub fill up even earlier than that!

Check the schedule! It has been updated for the beginning of October and now the Paint the Night parade is shown twice on non-party nights- 8:45 and 10:45! Yeah!
