we're considering watching the fireworks on the 4th at the beach here. Please let me know what you think of the view? Thanks!

It's OK.

At the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds Marina (angle shown on the map below,) some of the view is blocked by the now unused Discovery Island in Bay Lake and by the high-rise buildings of the Contemporary Resort.

But, the view from the Ft. Wilderness' sand beach (farther north) is more open.

Still the tree-level can block the views of the lower-firing pyro.

Here are the angles of the views in the Bay Lake area.

My honest opinion?? It's a 'very' poor substitute for 'seeing' the fireworks. We stay in the campground always, so occasionally we see them, but the former Discovery Island blocks most of the lower ones.

Front and center of the castle in MK is about the only place we ever watch them, and it will be more so now with the new show with the projections. Even with Wishes they had a projection show that you had to be in front to see. I like to be totally immersed.

We love to watch the fireworks from Fort Wilderness campground! We have actually been there on July 4th! The view is a little blocked but you can still enjoy the show. They pipe the music in. The only thing that bothers me is that there can be kids are running around playing on the playground and being loud. This kind of distracts me from the show, but it just may be my attention span!

We usually stand on the opposite side of the dock from the playground so it is a little less noisy. You can also enjoy the Electrical Water Pageant there too!

It sure is nice to not have to fight the crowd after the fireworks.

Happy Planning!

I enjoy watching them from the beach. My son was more interested in building a sand castle than watching.
