Providing you have 20/20 vision or are far sighted, you can see them well, though its not the same as being in the park..no music and not feeling like you are underneath them....more like "Oh, look, there they are over there".

I agree with DISNEY1975, no music and it is in the distance. However, to be on the beach and watch the fireworks can be a romantic event. Especially if you are staying at the Poly. It is nice to get a beverage (adult or otherwise) at the Luau Cove bar and leisurely watch the fireworks. There is no music, but you can hear the "booms" from the fireworks.

I was told by my TA that they pipe music onto the beach at Poly during the fireworks. I was only inquiring about the 4th of July but I'm sure they do it all the time.

The music from Wishes is piped into speakers all along the Poly beach / walkway near the beach. It's not overly loud though, unless you are close to the speaker. But you can still hear it provided everyone around you isn't carrying on a conversation.

Last December when my family and I stayed at the Polynesian I watched the fireworks a few times from the beach and the music from there sounded great.

i am so amazed how everyone is so helpful on the disboards. thankyou all for your replies. we have only 4days at poly before cruise and we really would like to spend time there so i think we will watch fireworks from there.

I stayed in a MK view at The Poly last November and the fireworks we beautiful..I watched them on my balcony with my hubby and kiddies..they were perfect...you can hear music even on the balconies from the MK...enjoy your trip!

We just returned home yesterday from our 8 day stay at the Poly. You can see the fireworks clearly from the beach and you can hear the music if you are near a speaker (which are scattered around the beach and walk way areas).

We love watching the fireworks from the Poly. As everyone stated you can hear the music....just not loudly. We love watching them from the beach or our balcony!

Yes, you can see the fireworks well from the beach, yes the music is piped in, however not extremely loud as not to disturb guest who are not watching, but there are lots of speakers you can find to sit next to. Actually, if you have little ones, it's a nice way to see and hear fireworks and still be close to the room and avoid crowds once display is over. Also, and this is important, get out there early so you can see the Electric Water Pageant! Very neat!!!
