Are the fireworks at PI still at midnight? Can you see them clearly from other parts of Downtown Disney without entering PI? Thanks in advance.

Yes, they still celebrate New Year's every night at midnight by setting off fireworks. They no longer scatter confettin throughout PI at midnight like they used to. You can see the fireworks from all of DTD. Saratoga Springs actually has a viewing area on the water for watching the fireworks. They really aren't all that impressive though.

The usual fireworks show lasts 26 seconds. I timed it.

They are ok, but like another poster said - not really that impressive. I wouldn't stay up just to see them. For me the most fun was the giant confetti, but since they don't do that anymore, it's lost the pizzazz.

Yes, that's what I meant when I said they still celebrate New Year's every night. They count down to midnight and then set off the fireworks.

they do count off, but when i was there last, no one paid one ounce of attention to it... it lasted literally seconds, and was done.

i woudln't go out of my way to catch them. i just happened to be there when they went off.

I usually see them everytime I am at PI, but only because I am in line for the Comedy Warehouse when they go off. Don't make a trip just for the fireworks, you will be disappointed. But if you happen to be in line for Comedy Warehouse at midnight, go ahead and enjoy them!
