I know you're not supposed to be on the verandahs when the fireworks are being shot off, but has anyone experienced any fallout from the fireworks on their verandahs? eg: residue indicating it hit the balcony?

Also, if people ignore the letter, is there a fine for being on your balcony during the fireworks or is it a 'do this at your own peril' situation?

That's what I suspected.

Actually, on our trip, we were given a letter and we were deck 9 portside. I don't know why, but maybe they were just covering themselves and giving it to everyone.

For anyone who cares, this was the letter was got - portside:

Now that I think of it, we didn't get one for the Pirate night fireworks, just the Star Wars fireworks.

I dont think it's just fallout from the fireworks that they're worried about, its also the potential of a 'wild' firework deciding on doing its own thing. If you're out on a verandah if that was to happen, you kinda contained and have nowhere to run...

Good point. That would be nasty, if it happened.
