The time on Disney.com for the FW at MK won't change now, right? I just booked a VERY LAST minute trip to WDW for Feb. 1-8 and thought I'd TRY to get a FW seating at Calif. Grill. I GOT ONE!! I couldn't believe it. I thought this was popular. 7:15 is good, right? I'll take it. That 8:00 FW show won't change times on me, right? I thought it was a strange time since MK closed at 8:00, but I guess that must be normal. SO EXCITED NOW!! California Grill is good, right? Any suggestions? I'll be 5 months pregnant, so unfortunately I won't be able to enjoy wine with dinner, but the dessert will make up for it .....I'm sure.....LOL.....Any suggestions for dress? THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE WHATSOEVER!!!

Just had an AMAZING meal at Cali Monday night - a spontaneous elegant evening out with my boyfriend and another couple...Unfortunately, we weren't able to make the fireworks but still enjoyed the MK view and even saw a couple get engaged!! My men were in shirts and ties, my friend and I in Black pants and fun tops (like I said, an elegant evening :p ) - there were also plenty of khaki pants and polos for the men - If you decide to go dressy, you won't feel overdressed! My only complaint was that we had PS for 8:00 and didn't get seated until just before 9 (and not even a window table)...But I would still go back tonight if I could! Enjoy!

thanks so much for the attire info.

Sorry to hear about the wait. That's not good. I was considering calling to see if I could get an earlier seating. I just might...just in case the FW makes my wait even longer.

THANKS!!!

my husband and i wore jeans(ugh). it was pouring rain the evening we went, but surprisingly the fireworks went off as scheduled. be sure request a table on the MK side of the restaurant. the view is fabulous! my husband had the filet of beef w/the BBq sauce and he really enjoyed it. enjoy!

Thanks for attire and menu info. That beef meal sound right up my DH's alley.

Don't feel you HAVE to dress up if you really don't want to--we eat at CG all the time and in summer, we always wear shorts and a Disney T-Shirt. The only real dress code is no tank tops or bathing suits.
Good luck in getting a fireworks view table--there aren't many. And if you do get one, prepare for a crowd swarming around your table when the fireworks start. Lots of people who don't have window tables just get up and wander over to your table....

Thanks for the very good advice Uncleromulus. I now know better what to expect.

The fireworks schedule, according to the Disney website, for the week of Feb 1-8 is 8PM on the two Saturdays and 7 PM the rest of the week. You didn't say what date your reservation is for, but hopefully it is a Saturday. Good luck in getting a window table!

yep.....Sat night (our arrival night). When I first called for a table at CG on Sat. night...I thought it would be hard to get, but I had forgotten that they have now started adding Fireworks shows more than just on Sat. nights now. I'm sure it's not as popular anymore. Thanks Straughn.
