Hello - Has anyone done either the MK Firework Cruise or the Illumination one? I am interested in knowing the prices of each, how many people per boat and which one you think is the better experience. Thanks.

Because you are actually IN Epcot with the I-cruise, you get to experience the full "surround audio" that is so much a part of the IllumiNations show.

Just for comparison-

You can get an identical view (albeit among many other guests) if you watch from the bridge between UK and France (#6 below.)

The boats from the I-Cruises all tie up beneath (#7 below) that bridge to view the show.

We did the Illuminations cruise last summer and loved it! As far as I can remember, it was around $350 without tip. Snacks, pop, and water were provided. A bit of pixie dust was thrown in as our captain also took us over to the Studios to watch Frozen Summer fireworks after Illuminations. It was delightful and money well spent!

Not to crash the thread, but can you bring any food or drink on yourself, like champagne? Thanks

I don't remember the rules but I'm going to say no. I do remember that we could have ordered from specialty dining at the Yacht Club I believe, but we didn't because we had just come from dinner at Beaches and Cream. Honestly, that cruise was a major highlight of our 10 day trip! image.jpeg

And Frozen Summer fireworks! And we could hear the music! "Let it goooo!" You can see my son at the front of the boat. He was not happy about wearing the life preserver but oh well!image.jpeg

I'm pretty sure there are threads on here to look into sharing, but max capacity is 10, I think. We had 6, just our family, and it was perfect!

Thanks! There are only 3 of us, but it would be nice to have the boat all to ourselves :D

In my humble opinion, it was completely worth the money. I booked it as a surprise, didn't even tell my husband! It was us, our two kids, and my parents. It was my parents' last trip to Disney so I planned some special things like this cruise. We were also on the boat for a few hours and took a great tour of the boardwalk area.

A few hours?

Yes at least two hours. We got on around 8, 8:15 and got back around 10 pm. Illuminations was at 9 pm and we booked it over to the Studios for fireworks that started around 9:45 pm. The length of time was another reason why it was worth it to me.

Did you make special arrangements to extend the cruise that long?

Nope! I had no idea that they were planning to take us over to the Studios after Illuminations. I knew we would get a little tour of the surrounding area, but that was all that I was expecting. When we arrived, our captain told us about Frozen Summer fireworks and needless to say, I was thrilled! We tipped him really well

You might have gotten some major pixie dust.

I can find no info that indicates that a trip to the DHS fireworks is a regular part of the IllumiNations Cruise.

It's not! They surprised us with it and that's a reason why our particular cruise was so amazing!

Plus last summer Frozen Summer fireworks were only on certain days- I want to say weekends only?-and our cruise was a Saturday night.

Congratulations.

I was just very concerned that others would think that:
A. The IllumiNations Cruise lasted "a few hours."
B. The DHS fireworks were included.

These boards have a long reach (these posts will be available for YEARS into the future) so it's a good idea to
mention when your experience is not the "normal" experience.

I'm not sure if your congratulations is sincere or sarcastic...? I'm not trying to give wrong or misleading information as this was the only experience we had and I have nothing to compare it to.
