We have dinner ressie at BOG at 9:30 pm. Can anybody tell me if there is enough time to watch the fireworks beforehand, please?

The fireworks start at 9:00 and run for about 15 minutes I believe. If you watch from BOG, the fireworks will get done and allow plenty of time for your reservation.

Great, thank you so much. Is there a big difference on the way you perceive the fireworks from behind the castle, rather then the front ?
First timer, lol

Sort of. The fireworks are pretty much the same, just mirrored. However, the castle projection show is only on the front of the castle, the side that faces the hub and the main entrance. You wouldn't be able to see that at all from Fantasyland.

If this will be your first time seeing Happily Ever After then you'll want to see it from in front of the castle. The fireworks are set off with a view intended from in front of the castle and you can only see the projections from the front, which play a big part.

You can view them from the front and then have plenty of time to get to bog. It's only about a 5 min walk

IMHO, unless you're a pro who sees the show a lot, you don't want to watch from BOG or the behind the castle area. As @CAS239 noted, you won't see any of the projection element of the show. Also, your head will be on a swivel between the larger shots behind the park and the castle fireworks. It's a cool/loud place to be for the fireworks, but it's not really the best show overall.

HEA will end at 9:18... if you're in the hub it's going to take you a bit of time to make your way behind the castle through the masses. But I think you'll be OK overall. Just keep swimming! It's going to be crowded.

FWIW, in my experience the path through the caste and the two immediate side paths around the castle that they wet down pretty heavily are closed right after the fireworks. Not sure when that area clears to open.... but I remember sometime earlier this year I was trying to go on the path to the left and the CM said I'd be better off walking all the way around by CHH/PP/IASW, etc.

Thank you for all this info. I was not aware that those paths would be closed, but makes sense.

Our family's favorite place to watch the fireworks is behind the castle while sitting on the benches between the castle and BOG. You feel as if you're IN the fireworks show. However, we are DVC members with Annual Passes and go 3-4 times a year, so that may not be optimal for some park goers.
