Our first trip to FW is coming up in March. We have a covered fire pit to use and hopefully there will not be a fire ban. Where do you purchase wood for the fire? I do not want to haul the wood from home!

There is no place to purchase the wood on Disney property, so you will have to go off property to find it. I'm not really sure where though. I know around here in the winter time, there are many places in front of convenience stores and grocery stores where they sell small bundles of wood, but I'm betting that is not a big market in Orlando!! (Except maybe the last week).

We live on the panhandle and the Wal-Marts here carry wood. It's in a box near the fire start logs. Not positive that they will have it in Orlando though! You might also be able to scavenge in the woods for some logs, pine cones and such. Have a great time!!

It has been so cold here for so long it is getting harder to find fire wood but Pulbix has small bundles sometimes

Also check out these guys. A-1 Arborists Tree Service. You can pick it up on your way to FW. Its also the finest firewood I have ever used. I believe they still to individual cuts for cheap prices. If anything give them a call. (407) 894-8855

Depending on where you like (maybe Wisconsin due to your username?) you may not want to bring firewood into FL from out of state because of the Emerald Ash Borer.

We brought wood from home and ran out so we looked at Walmart did not find any but found some at Lowes.

You might want to bring a bundle of firewood with you. By March most stores here in Florida quit stocking firewood.

As Robinb posted, be wary of bringing firewood from other states, you can import non-native bugs/diseases very easily. Firewood should always be obtained locally. I know, got a big pile of it at home, already paid for...popcorn::

Thank you for all the useful information. Camping primarily in the Mid-Atlantic States, I take having firewood available year round for granted. Hopefully we will be too tired to enjoy a fire at our campsite and will not miss one if we can find wood.
