Watching CNN and their coverage of the fires in California...they are started to order evacuations of homes....all those in the area stay out of harms way...it looks really bad there!

Right now they are saying they are 0% contained! I hate hearing about fires there, I have friends that live in the LA area and not knowing all the cities and areas around LA I make myself a wreck.

My DH is diving at Catalina today and he called me from the boat to ask what was happening. I hope they get it under control soon.

We have friend living nearby in Orange. They've already been through this drill before years ago, but I can't imagine that it gets any easier!

Anaheim Hills is about 25 miles west of us. I am not surprised to hear of fires with the heat we are having. We got up into the 90's today.

My best friend's cousin lives in Anaheim Hills. I hope she is okay.

I have friends who live in the Anaheim Hills as well. One of the pics they keep showing looks like her parents' house!

Thats got to be scary! I have found out that my friends are not in that area.

I was at the Anaheim Train Station at 5pm today. It was 5pm, and this is what the Anaheim Hills looked like from there. The smoke was over us & over Disney, but it wasn't thick. However, I could see thicker smoke over the Anaheim Hills themselves. It was 93º according to my car's thermometer.

I live in SanDiego and we always have fires out here in California due to our dry heat and the Santa Anas(dry heat blowing in from the desert)

We may not have Hurricanes and Earthquakes are not to often but we sure have fires....every year...and the arsenists here that the Santa Anas will be blowing they come out and start fires....knowing that the extremly Hot winds will make them hard to contain....
