Fire on Epcot Property

I am at the Beach Club, and there is a fire on Epcot property. We saw the flames from the cab, and there are police blocking the entrance to Epcot. Does anyone have any info? The bellman said that they may close part of Epcot if it gets any worse...sorry if this is a duplicate post.

I saw part of a ticker on Fox News mentioning something about WDW, but didn't catch the whole thing. I guess this is what they were talking about. Keep us informed!

I don't think it is the same fire...you can see the flames from the road by the Yacht and Beach Club. 192 is a little further away. I will try and talk to a cast member and get a scoop.

I just got done talking to a friend of mine that just left Epcot not five minutes ago and she said there is no fire there but there is a brush fire somewhere close by. She could see smoke when they came out into the parking lot. And there was ashes on the car. I hope they get things under control quick.

I just talked to a friend who said something about a car accident, that caused the brush fire, and the smoke is bad they are closing roads around the parks, like above poster stated...

The brush fire in Osceola county across 192 near AK was started by a lightening strike that took place a few days ago. It just smoldered for awhile before really taking hold. The smoke and flames can be seen from the Epcot area. I can see smoke and smell it from my home and I am a couple of miles north of MK. The entire area is very hazy due to the smoke.

I've not heard of any other fire in the WDW area.
