YEA!!!!!!! I finally was able to get in and I just finish the quest!! Yea got my blue table!! Hope it stays going now.

Woot me too! Success!! I finally have a table to sit and eat at in my blue room...with a chair to pull up at it! Gl to everybody else, and fingers crossed that VMK stays fixed.

And not that they would read this far into the thread...but thanks to staff who worked their Sunday morning so that us addicts of this *free* game could experience as minimal a disruption as possible. I really think a few hours (although painful for us) is remarkable time on a weekend to have this fixed.

Just a thought. Last week I posted about Phinny not liking answers posted on boards. Before she made the tasks hard with mini games. Then when we stopped posting she made quests easier with no mini games. Wonder if posting the easy answers last week has anything to do with having to get 15,000 in JC. I have no idea but sure makes me wonder. I hope this is not the case because this is not nice. But that was my fear.

They always do if the quest is still running. If she stops the quest and restarts it, you have to start over.

That's why I don't post full spoilers for one day quests on the boards after hosts asked us not to. If the quest is fairly easy there's no need for a full spoiler. If someone needs help on a task on two and those answers are posted that's just helping friends, but not the full quest. At least the score was only 15,000, and once VMK was working properly, that wasn't very difficult for me. I just hope that there isn't a harder score next week.

on a side note, my dd finished the quest on her character 10 minutes after it was supposed to close and she still got the items so they are keeping it open for a bit longer at least.

Yes. They usually last until about a half after after the posted end time.

There is no difference in posting the FULL QUEST than there is posting the answers to the "HARD or difficult" questions! I mean really! the easy ones you do not need help with anyway. That is just splitting hairs.

Exactly! I continue to point to the Quest that asked for the License Plate number of some minor character's car that we see once or twice in a movie that I do not own/ever seen and requiring me to find the information in 5 minutes. I'm sorry, but I'm going to someone to get the answer. If I get the answer from someone on the DIS boards, so be it.

Staff telling us what we can and cannot post here is like them saying what we must wear while playing the game. They can say the we must sit in a green chair to play, but there's noting really to make us do that. Staff do have a right to control what happens in the game, but not what happens outside of it. The only difference with the posting of spoilers is that staff might be able to see it, when there's no way to tell what any of us are sitting on, or if were're even sitting at all. There's also no guarentee that any of us have the same name on VMK as we do here, or that if someone says I'm CL_Maltoo that it's really you. You could post a full spoiler and say you're dizanimator on VMK, but nobody on staff should do anything to me because there's no really no way to check and see if someone posted and said they were a different person just to get someone in trouble.

I understand that staff and hosts do work hard on the quests, but no matter how much they ask for no spoilers to be posted, some help will always be given to other players. Last week the quest had a gem in Ned's Shop, and a friend on VMK asked if I knew where it was, and I said yes. Then he asked me where it was and I suggested he go ask Ned. While this isn't exactly a spoiler, he did still have to find the gem in the room, I had told him where to look. How much difference is there between that and helping someone on the boards? Just that a few more people can see the answer. It then turns into a slippery slope between helping friends and having all the answers posted.

I sort of think that staff would be better off watching the chat and making sure people follow VMK values than policing boards that are not under Disney's control. If any staff read this and have a problem with it, that's their problem, not mine.

Well i got back from my religious services and was hoping that vmk extended the quest because of the techno difficulties. And when i logged on at 1:00pm pacific time, it was gone. So, the quest was down for the half hour i could get on vmk and do it, and it was up for the the exact 2 and a half hours i couldn't get on to do it. Oh well thats the way it goes. I think this is the first time i have actually been this disappointed in vmk. Sorry, i just had to say it. LOL. I know, it is just a game.
