Fins Comment On Dream Month

Well as I arrived to Fin's room last night I ran into the middle of a conversation I thought I should share....

####: Fin I have a question for you.
HOST_Phinny: Sure
####: What do you think about some people getting no dream items while some getting fix [six]
HOST_Phinny: Do you want me to be honest.
####: Sure
HOST_Phinny: All the hosts are very sadden about this fact.

This may not be word for word but it is the main point of the conversation. I have saw alot of threads about hosts being unfair and some people not getting items. So I just wanted to show what the hosts felt about this.

I do not think they were being unfair at all. I am sure this past month was very hard on them. All of those ladies did what they could with the limited hours and guidelines to follow.

Well, we all know that certain hosts play favorites. But with Dreams items they simply could not do that. It was very specific. They got a popup or something which told them to go to a certain place and look for a certain thing and give out a certain item. They had NO SAY in who got what.

I don't think that the hosts were being unfair. I think that they did the best that they could to give out the items, especially the last few days when they were going out of their way to get as many people ears as possible. I belive that they had specific places where they were supposed to be, and didn't seek people out.

I think sometimes VMK forgets what people will do to get the items.

I totally agree with what Doc said. They were given specific places to go, and at least in the case of the room - what to look for. They did their absolute best under the circumstances. Went way above and beyond when working past theire assigned times, and letting us gift our extras.

Anyways it is not unfair. The people that got a lot of ears were the people that spent a lot of time on there. I may be a little wrong but the people that were on the computer forever got more then the people that did not. Those people deserve it.

Well I was one of those people who got on for practically every dream event yet I was only able to get one pair of ears and no other dreams so I think some were just luckier whether they were on a lot or not.

As for the hosts, I think they did what they could and I'm sure they wish things could have been a little different and that the prizes would have been distributed a little more even. I know on the last night of dreams month Hula was busy along with VMK Flamingo trying to get as many ears out there to everyone they could. I think they did a great job that night and they made a lot of players happy! I'm sure they are saddened by those though who were never able to get ears.

The Dreams Month was basically a matter of sheer dumb luck. Some people just happened to be at the right place at the right time 10/10 times, while others (myself included) worked hard for our dreams .

The hosts did not play favorites at all. I did not witness one account of favoritism during Dreams Month, and I was on almost every day. There was no way that they could; the system was completely random.

All in all, Dreams Month was EXTREMELY tiring for me. I for one am glad that a new month is here, where we don't have to worry about waiting for hosts. Let's just look past this event as we have for other "flop" months.

I agree. I wouldn't wish that job on anyone. They did the best they could. I noticed that my friends who spend an extraordinary time on VMK had the most dream items. They got to know the areas that were prone to visits.

I really think they did the best they could. I do think maybe the rooms could have been assigned by log in. But I see a major problem of overloading the server. You log in and do not win so you log off and log in again. No one would be in VMK hehe.

Or maybe it could have been a scret location once every hour. The first person in the room wins the prize. Thus no camping out to get the room.

But I still think what they did was just wonderful. And in VMK it is the first time I recieved something extra special from Disney

without seeing Fins exact words I cant be sure. I get a different read than most of you are on the subject. To me she is not saying she is sad she cant reach more people, to me she is saying she is sad the same people are preventing them from reaching more people.

I let this topic float more because without the exact words we cant be sure. I was just surprised most people seem to conclude the way they did.

Yes, that log-in idea would not have worked. Face it, the majority of us would have sat there for 3 straight hours logging in, checking inventory, logging out...

I agree with this 100%.

I think it was all about luck. I agree there was no favoritism involved. I thought there might have been a little in the very beginning until I understood how they were awarding dreams.

To take that a stop further, I would not be considered a "favorite" in the game. I don't stalk hosts, I am not all kissy-kissy with any staff and I have never had a conversation with any of them, not even while going to a host event. I say hello and thank you and leave it at that.

Phinny awarded me ears and a dream room. A week later, she came to my room and awarded ears to the earless kiddos. She does not know me from my granny, so I know she did not award me based upon being a favorite.

I say take it for what it was. We all have things other people want. I don't have a mansion room or Princess Minnie. You may not have dream ears, maybe we can trade one day!
