Finished the Minnie 5k and now attempting the Princess 1/2 - Am I nuts!?!

Stacy, you are doing so well, great job! That is so awesome you lost 2 pounds in one week! And getting more sleep is so important, your body needs that in order to do the hard work of getting ready for the 5K and Minnie. Well done!

Ok, well i started on W5, and finished D1 without too much of a struggle.. so onto D2 today.. (Did also 2 miles walk yesterday).. I am down 4lbs approx. from 2 weeks ago when i really watched my eating.. I am thrilled! I noticed the other day that my pj bottoms were loose, and didn't think anything too much of it, til the next day when i got on the scale.. hey, baby steps right??
I have been sleeping very well - exercising at night - usally around 7pm, then showering, and by 9pm-10pm going to bed, and sleeping well. I am noticing more energy during the day - or maybe it's in my head..who knows.. LOL But, i have also been drinking more water.. and thank God for those 100 calorie packs -- they keep me in check! LOL
Also discovered Lean Pockets 4 cheese pizza = 6points and wonderful!!! High in protein too! And have been eating Brown Rice, and drinking V8 Splash Lite for breakfast - peach mango. since i don't eat enough veggies..

What i really want to work on learning though, is how to eat BETTER foods to perk up my muscles (in developing) and give me more stamina when jogging.. any ideas??

Looking forward to May!!!

Hi Stacey,

You are doing a great job. You are back into the running and eating right. Lots of great choices. One of my favorite snacks is hummous with veggies. I don't mind the veggies with a dip. Hummous is 3 pts for 1/3 cup. (double check that. I don't have my book with me.) and that goes a long way with veggies. It is also high on protein.

Take care,
Beth

Hey chick! You are doing a great job! Way to go on the weight loss!!! How exciting!!!

You'll rock that 5K!!!

Stacie

Hi, Stacy. Great job with the weight loss and your training - you rock! Very much looking forward to meeting you at the Minnie, too - SIX MORE WEEKS!!

Have a great weekend!

Susan

You are doing a great job, Stacy! Keep up the good work!:cheer2:

Hope you have a nice weekend and a Happy Easter!:goodvibes

Hey lady. :goodvibes You're doing really great with the c25k plan and your eating!! Congrats on the weight loss. :thumbsup2 I wish I could get back on track with my eating too. I need to come up with a good plan. I'm dreading getting into a bathing suit on my upcoming trip to Orlando. :scared:

Keep it up, girlie. You're an inspiration.

Happy Easter everyone!! Well, i attempted W5D3 yesterday (jogging 20 min) but , i knew i sabotaged myself early on -- for one, i was tired and it was almost 8pm by the time i got on the TM, then i tried to push it too much and started off going too fast too soon --- thought if i could jog faster, the milage would go faster, ya, well, so did my energy.. and i just died. :(
So, i finished by just walking, at least to get 25 min. of cardio in.. but i just didn't have it in me.. i guess we get those days sometimes..
I will try again tomorrow -- i am not going to even kid myself and think i will do anything today -- too much junk food and didn't sleep well at all (mabye 2 hrs last night, tossed and turned all night) and then got up at 5am, for our 6am church service at the beach (brrrrrr...) and then had a pancake breakfast (yes, i had 2! ) at church.. then going to dh's aunts for dinner at 1pm... so, ya, i am thinking i will probably be in bed by 8pm tonight.. I will get a good sleep and be on the TM tomorrow earlier.. :)
Hope everyone is having a great day/weekend!!

Hi Stacy, good job getting that 25 minutes in on the treadmill, walk, run or jog, you did it! Glad you just decided to enjoy Easter and all its goodies, tomorrow is a new week. You have been doing so great lately, its okay to take a day off. Happy Easter, hope you had a nice lunch at your aunt's house! Great job on losing 4 pounds!!!!

Hey Stacy! Sorry to hear your 20 min run didn't go well. We do all have those off days! There is no shame in that. You've been doing so well!!! You can do it!!! :thumbsup2 Sending :wizard: your way for a good run today!!!

Keep it up! Your eating is great! You're dropping lbs, and your exercise is good too!

Stacie

Stacy,

Church on the beach-sign me up,that is one way to go.;)

Take care,
Linda

Hi Stacy...

Sounds like you had a lovely easter holiday :)

Great job continuing on with the C25K program. Just a reminder that if you're getting the miles/hours in during the week, pop over into Rabbit's team thread and post your numbers. :goodvibes

Have a great week!

amy, thanks, i forgot to post this week! I will hop over (no pun intended!) and do it! :) I started W6- finished W6D1 yesterday - and did ok! I ended up checking to see where i was for timing, and i did 2.0 miles in 28.22 - which is under the 15 min. mile pace, so i think that's ok! :) I am sure you pro's are shaking your head.. but for me, that is quite an accomplishment!

Ok, i did it! I completed W6D2! ( i train the program on minutes vs miles ) I know, i just did W6D1 yesterday -- and usally i space out my w/o's - but i had the energy today, and i knew with my schedule i wouldn't be able to get on the TM tomorrow - so i went for it.
I followed Scotts advice from his blog about adding some cool 80's music to my MP3 mix, and it worked.. LOL Thanks Scott! ;)

My timing was 2.0 miles in 27.23 - which is about 1 full minute better than yesterday!! :) Hey, baby steps right?? (And actually, the first 5 min were a warm up walking pace of about 3.5 - 3.6 )

The thing i don't understand, is, they say to train either distance OR time --- so i am doing time. So, i do the w/o's based on the time (i.e. jog 10 min) and not by the other way, (i.e. jog 1 mile ) -- b/c there is no WAY i can run/jog a 10 min. mile --- i would NEVER be able to keep it up for a full mile..
So, is it ok that i do it by the time?? I will complete the C25K (knock on wood) and have 2 weeks to firm up my training before the minnie.. is this doable?? I am trying not to stress about it too much right now, i figure, if i can just accomplish the 3 miles now in under 15 min pace i am ok.. thats really what matters --speed can come down the road right??

Also i am showing at least another lb. down, totaling 5lbs over the 2 weeks so far.. Sat. will start a new week for me.

I am hoping to do W6D3 on Sunday -- possibly outdoors, for the first time!!!

Amy that is great you completed that run! You are doing so great, 5 pounds is an incredible loss in two weeks! I am seriously proud of you (and a bit envious too ;) ) I read your post and decided against having some high carb snack! So you motivated me today, thanks so much!

Hey Stacy. I just posted on the c25k thread to answer some of your questions. You're ROCKIN' this c25k program!! :thumbsup2

Keep up the great work!

Ok. Well, I didn't think i would get on the TM today, but b/c my dh was off - due to dr.s appt. he picked up my dd at school, which meant i got to sneak on for a bit -- didn't want to jog though -- just walked 2 miles - after pushing it the last two days, i figured a good walk would be fine.

And it makes me feel less guilty about snacking at a Tastefully Simple party that i am going to tonight.. LOL

You are doing great Stacie. I think that you will be fine training by time. Pace can certainly come later. You are going to Rock the Minnie.

Have a great week,
Beth

THANKS! I finished W6D3 on Sat. - i had my best time - i did 2.0 miles in 26:49 - i am very happy with that!! Now i need to work on adding that third mile... and keep up the pace..
Eating is still doing very well!
