Finished Stuff **UPDATED** Pics in post #1 , #27, and #46

Okay, GREAT job!!!! We are using a couple of the same too! Like 90% of the ones I am using came from Natalie too! She does AWESOME stuff!

Okay question now, lol, where did you purchase your shirts?

Tell your wife, ya'll did a GREAT job!:worship:

Dana:upsidedow
Thank you! Shes happy everyone likes them considering it took just about a whole day of ironing. As for the shirts, it was actually all over the place. Mostly Wal-mart, a few from target and old navy. My wife got a few of her shirts from mandees as well since they were a bit more stylish and not just tanks and tees.

I've got the DISign...I was trying to figure out a way to make it glow in the dark...you didn't do anything special...just used dark transfer paper???
:thanks:
Oh sorry. Yeah, just used dark transfers. Just a note though, it wont come out too close to the shade of a black shirt but still looks very nice. If you figure out how to make them glow in the dark please post so i can try it next time!

I am especially interested in knowing how you did the castle DISign on the black shirt...they look like they may golw in the dark? :thumbsup2

I did the castle ones. They're in my photobucket. Probably in the "Castle" folder.

Jnx1 - awesome shirts! Can I be in your family?!

Natalie - excellent graphics - I just raided your 4shared - love the passport princesses!

Thanks for sharing your talents!
Kris

wow! those look great! I am 11 yrs old and am making shirts (w/ parent supervision) for a family trip to WDW. My aunt is making shirts for the whole family for when we do the magical gathering safari thing. I'll post pics of my shirts when they are done! I'm soo excited!:yay:

great job and how wonderful that it was a team effort! Thanks so much for sharing!

You'll be the hit of the park! Have a great time.

(PS: My favorite is the castle on the dark tee!)

PSS: btw, they do have a glow "paint" at Michael's; perhaps folks could outline the Mickey Head with glow paint and see if it works! (I used the glow paint on a posterboard for a pre-dawn greeting to my Marine GS. I guess I didn't have enough to have an effect all the way across the parade deck! :rotfl2: )

She insists that I mention the shirt on the left is brown, not black as it looks in the picture.

That's about it, thank you to all the designers and thank you for any feedback. Maybe I'll post a few more pictures of other stuff we made when I get a chance, such as tip envelopes, invitations, pressed penny tubes, autograph book, journal, and some pretty cool little LGMH stickers.

Does anyone know which designer did the mickey standing in front of the mickey head design? I like how you can use different colored shirts with the same design. Thanks.

All of your stuff is awesome! Nice job! Ya'll are going to look great :cool1:

When you did the one on the grey shirt with the L, did you cut all around it?

Thanks, Dana

The design was done by natalie. You can find a link to her 4shared back in post #10. She has so many great designs. For the shirts i made with that design, i used stretchable transfers, they gave it asort of faded vintage look

Thank you! I'm actually a guy but no worries I'll relay the message to the wife since she did most of the ironing. I just finished each one off with a little muscle;). She doesn't do the boards because I'm more of the planner and she just goes along with everything but after how happy she was with the shirts, it won't be long before she sets up her own name on here.:lmao:

Thank you! I'm sure yours will be great. This was our first time trying, I thought it would be a disaster. OK heres a rundown, pink shirt and white ringers with blue collar were avery white transfers. The 4 mickey heads with classic mickey and the ringer with black collar were avery stretchable transfers. All the rest were avery dark transfers.

O.K. more help please. :) You mentioned you all used dark transfers on the neon castles right? Did you cut out the castle and the words? I love these!! I have them saved too for our future trip and yours are the first ones I have seen done. I absolutely LOVE them on your black shirts. I hope to copy you next year for our trip!! Thanks again for the help!! It is greatly appreciated!!

O.K. now that I am looking closely I think I can see the transfer square. I figured out why I was so confused... I had saved Kari's castle's with the white backgrounds. I found them with the black. Thanks Kari!! And it makes a lot more sense to me now.

Your shirts look great!!!! Have a great trip!!

Thanks for the kind words! The cinderella "L" was another one done by Natalie :thumbsup2. And since my wife wanted it to come out very nice I went ahead and printed on dark transfer, and yes, cut completely around it. It took about an hour with an X-acto knife, but anything to make my dear wife happy!

You're shirts look amazing! I'm liking the idea of taking extra time to cut out dark transfers with an exacto knife. :goodvibes

I think you asked about the vinegar wash in a different thread. Did you do the vinegar wash?

Thank you, and yes the exacto knife works wonders and is pretty cheap. I decided not to do the vinegar wash because all we're worried about is how it looks when we wear them to the parks. Did not want them to look faded. I did buy scotchguard to protect them in case it rains but thats about it. Hopefully it all works out.
