It came to her like an epiphany....perhaps instead of abandoning her children to the wolf parents, she should keep the kids and all of them live together. Cletus and Diabetty, two wolves and a Ho. It sounded like a fairy tale to her. In reality, it was much, much sadder.....for the first time in her life, she faced discrimination.

You see, Glo's coat was very light gray, and Mo's was a much darker gray with charcoal undertones and a few wispy white highlights. Everywhere Ho went to get an apartment, they were turned away. Oh sure....the superintendents said it was a strict "No Pets" policy, but these weren't pets, these were her parents. It had to be a racial thing....Although both Glo and Mo were both purebreed, full American wolves, the slight differences in their fur was the problem....Honey was sure! She:

went to see Johnny Cocharan. He was sure to sue the apartment building because this was pure discrimination and there were no pet runs anywhere near the place.Johnny....

Was appalled. He said it was outright, outlandish, out of order and out of control discrimination. And seeing how Honey was out of sight, he was sure this would be a big, big victory. Honey took on the apartment complex and:

started to picket along with her wolf family. They made quite a spectacle. Ho, her two babies, her ma and pa wolf. Just then CNN arrived. They knew a good story when they saw one so...

suddenly Honey became known around the globe. She was more famous than if she'd gotten to make the FOX reality show. Everyone was extremely supportive and there was a nationwide push to end discrimination on the basis of a wolf's fur color.

The case slowly made its way through the courts. Each year brought a new argument or appeal. In the interum, Mo and Glo aged so that both their fur was turning a faint grey color due to age. Suddenly, the family was no longer discriminated against, but Honey would not back down. She was fighting for the rights of animal parents everywhere. Eventually in a "if the color doesn't fit, you must aquit" grandstand, the apartment managers lost their suit. Honey had plenty of family portraits showing the wolves in their true coat colors. Just because they had gone grey didn't mean the discrimination had not been very real and very painful. Honey won another judgement, and was now quite wealthy.

The little twins, Cletus and Diabetty, had grown so much. They loved Moon Pies and RC Cola, sitting on the sofa on the front porch every evening, and playing the banjo. They were so helpful to the family. Growing up with Honey's love and the Glo's wolf milk, they were big and strong. They helped by carrying laundry to the washer out back, Diabetty could spit tobacco juice farther than any boy, and Cletus could get a car up on blocks faster than anyone else down at the race track.

If Honey had won so much money...where was it all going?

Well, naturally Johnny Cochran got a big chunk of change from Honey's court ruling! But Honey was also paying Mr. Bus off to keep him quiet & for not filing a joint custody lawsuit for Cle & Dee. She didn't want him involved in their lives at all! Her mind went wandering back down memory lane & she kept thinking about TJ. Oh...how she missed him. She wanted TJ more than anything. She wanted them to become a couple again. How would she go about this now???

Honey decided to swallow her non-existant pride & called TJ. They talked about old times & how much they were once in love. They talked about all the silly things they used to do together (like call each other constantly), & how they each let too many people influence their relationship.

Honey mustered up all her nerve & asked TJ if they could become a couple again.... she held her breath while she waited for his answer....Finally he responded:

Oh, that chicken tasted good. Honey had gotten so used to eating squirrel and possum, she forgot how good a chicken tasted.

She really did have a wonderful life with the extend family living together. Only thing was she couldn't understand why the people in Scottsdale were so unfriendly. She had taught Diabetty not to spit chaw in the neighbors yards any more when they were home. They always waved from their sofa when people jogged by, and the car was only up on blocks while little Cletus learned how to supe up the engine. Why didn't they fit in? And how could she get TJ to become part of her life again. She so wanted to be a couple again. Sure, she did have plenty of men after her....but all were long distance relationships with men back at Appalatchan Prison. Strangley, all she really wanted was the true love of her life...she wanted to be a true couple:

so again Honey asked him softly, "want to become a couple again?" TJ looked at her & smiled (but yet looked puzzled) & answered "want to become a couple of what?" He was surely baffled this time!

Ho was getting sick of TJs coy answers. Surely there were plenty of eldery retired doctor bachelors in Scottsdale. Ho set out to get involved in the Scottsdake social scene. But how would the socialites react to her beauty?

Well, it wasn't the beauty that intimidated them, it was the picture of her parents airbrused on the sides of her pick-up truck that did her in. Although everyone's husband loved her, the ladies ignored her, so she went home early.

She decided to try to meet people through her children. Cletus could kick a Pabst Blue Ribbon can better than nobody's business, so she signed him up for soccer. Little Diabetty was really good at:

making kites from "gently used" foundation garments. Dee called them her kighty whiteys. She had won numerous ribbons from the county fair. So Ho signed the kids up for soccer and kite flying. But wouldn't you know it at the very first soccer game Cletus.......

was "discovered" by the Koolaid people for the huge koolaid mustache he wore. The soccer game had to wait because there was money to be made in koolaid commercials....

and Honey wasn't one to shy away from money or cameras. Although Diabetty was sad to miss her kite flying lesson, she took samples of her underwear handiwork to Hollywood to show around.

The commercial was a huge hit, and suddenly the neighbors in Scottsdale took more kindly to the hillbillies living in their neighborhood. Having a TV star kid next door was more beneficial than having a tobacco chewing girl was detrimental. Honey thrived in the new atmosphere of acceptance.

She continued to attract men, but now:

she had much higher standards. No more busdrivers for Ho. No she wanted someone who could provide for her in every way. She needed someon with strength, money, and power. Would she find Mr Right in Scottsdale or should she relocate to LA. Hmm thought Ho, if I go to LA, little Cletus could persue his koolaid commercials while I persue......

Alex and commercials for shampoo, Herbal Essence to be exact. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh the noises Ho could make for Clairol's Herbal Essence shampoo with Alex on her mind. It was a thought she could not escape. In fact, it haunted her and while giving birth, the thought of Alex was her complete focus. She had a story line to pitch to Clairol and all, while she remained calm yet the excitement coming from below (no pun intended, oh yes there was) was overflowing, she knew her hair could be breezy, shiny and beautiful as ever. With Alex in her head all was possible and
