Fingers crossed 🤞

Good luck! What resort?
BLT. We haven’t stayed at any but visited a few. With two little ones we felt having the monorail close would be nice for nap time trips. Hopefully we don’t regret it but I feel confident in our choose for home resort.

Just got a call today from fidelity that our offer was accepted, can expect paperwork tomorrow. Hopefully it all goes smoothly. This is our first time buying, and only second time we put in an offer. Excited but nervous. Really wanna be a dvc owner.....

Congrats! I hope you got a good deal.
Be prepared for a slow process with Fidelity.
Our offer was accepted on 2/6
It took 'til 2/20 to get sent to ROFR
Passed ROFR on 3/6
Closing Documents received - 4/6
Now we're still waiting for seller to return their Closing docs.
A lot different process from adding on Direct - where I had my (very expensive) points virtually the same day!

Good Luck!
Hope ROFR goes smoothly.
With the lower cashflow, I would think they would be taking fewer contracts.

Same as E2ME2 with Fidelity--slow.
I would ask for different closing company than First American.

We just signed a contract to purchase VGF with Fidelity as well. We had an accepted offer on 4/8, we signed on 4/9, the seller signed on 4/10, and the contract was finally sent to Disney for ROFR on 4/15. I have been calling in a very friendly way to both the agent I worked with and the contracts department to make sure that our contract didn't get lost in the shuffle. We also paid an additional $50 to have our closing with Mason Title based on recommendations I read here on the DIS boards. So I am hoping once we hear back (assuming it goes through), that the remaining process will go smoothly.

Congratuations on your purchase! I hope all goes well!

Congrats!! BLT was my first DVC purchase! I love it! Nothing like walking over the concourse and taking in the beautiful scenery of the MK and beyond😍. I’m fairly confident you’ll love it there.
The only thing I wish they would add would be a people mover from BLT to the MK and maybe one from the walkover from BLT to the eatery in CR.. It’s not easy carrying a baby giant who fell asleep at the parks 😆.

...wish I had known about the Mason Title option, would have been well worth $50...
Yours is moving at lightning speed compared to mine :earboy2:

Have you had closing yet? Today was suppose to be my closing date according to closing docs from FA and have heard nothing about seller returning documents. Will contact again Monday and give them 1 week to close or will cancel and ask for money back as per contract.
I just signed another contract yesterday for BCV with Fidelity and asked for Mason. I was told that would be a "fly in ointment not to use First American" I insisted and was told I had to call Mason for closing cost. I did and although costs will be a little higher , the probable 3-4 weeks earlier points will be worth it.

WOW - Obviously a reciprocal relationship between Fidelity & 1st American. No, I haven't closed yet.
The email I received on 4/16 said they had all the documentation and "would be submitting it to the County Recorder's office ... Please allow 5 business days for processing".
So I'm hoping to be closing by 4/23. How much more will it cost you to use Mason? Did it seem like Fidelity was totally reluctant to use them??

Did you ask for them before signing your documents? We just signed yesterday but I didn’t know to ask for a different title company and just looked and first American is the one on the document.

Anyone have any experience with DVC Resale market? Just passed ROFR at BRV and so far they have been great. Passed ROFR in 12 days! Also using Monera as our finance company. They said it would take 30 to 50 days once we passed but that seems kind of a long time.

That is a good choice. It was super convenient to hop on the monorail to go back to the resort. I also liked that the rooms aren't spread out so that the walking is minimal when you get back to the resort. Crossing my fingers for you.

I've used both of these companies with no problems what so ever. You have to be patient along the way. Things take time.... it's like waiting for Christmas morning at the beginning of December.

I was not going to use First American at any cost so do not know what their closing costs would be. I took the closing cost given to me by Mason and divided it by the cost of points and compared that to the closing costs on current contract (awaiting seller to return documents already past closing date) divided by cost of points. This was not including the $195 Fidelity fee they tack on. These contracts were different point amounts so could not compare that way. Mason was 4.3 % and First American was 4.2% of the contract price, so I feel good about paying .1 % more. Thanks for asking that question, so I would do the calculation:D
