:thumbsup2Can any of you experts remember what year they started using your finger print for entry into the parks and has anyone attempted to use someone else’s tickets and got denied because of the finger print. Thanks…

The first time I was fingerprinted was 2006. We were there last year & were not fingerprinted in AK or HS, but Epcot & MK. We went to AK & HS the first 2 days of our trip & used tkts from previous trip. Because we weren't fingerprinted anyone could have used the tkts.

The fingerprint is good I guess if they are using it all the time so if you lose your tkt no one else can use it, but we saw people being admitted on tkts even when their fingerprint didn't work.

They started fingerprinting AP holders around 2002. It was not long after 9/11. I think fingerprinting for everyone began around 2004, in response to a thriving 'used ticket sales' around Kissimmee.

I heard from someone last time I went to Disney earlier this summer that the fingerprint scanners were also there to check background records on people. :confused3 I don't think they'd do that but that's what they told the other people in their group.

Absolutely not.

Disney does not even take your fingerprint. They measure the size of your index finger and assign it to a mathematical algorithm. Technically, somebody else with an identically shaped finger is assigned that same exact mathematical algorithm and could get away using the ticket, but what are the chances of that happening? Close to none.

Okay, that's what I thought (about them not doing that). What they really do is kind of very interesting actually. lol I learn something new everyday. :D Thanks!

I was there aug 09 and saw people trying to use other people's cards to get into the park. They were denied since the print didn't match up. They even admitted it was a family member's card/entry ticket.
