"Fine! We can go to Disney, but I'm not happy about it!" **08/21 X5** Complete

Oh my goodness. I'm in pain looking at my selfie. Look at how I used to look. Look at my neck, it's all smooth and there's no scars anywhere. And my hair. Look at my hair. I mean, I don't even think I was ever like pretty then, but I just... goodness. Anyone who is following all three of the TRs right now is going to look at me from one to another and be like, "... woah."

And please stop calling it a golf ball. YOU KNOW I LOVE SPACESHIP EARTH *sobbing*

Also, that coat with that shirt is a bad idea. I think that everytime I see it. Why would I wear a shirt longer than my coat. Silly me.

You looked beautiful then and you still look beautiful now

I love Spaceship Earth just as much as you do. But it looks like a golf ball

No worries on the golf ball mention Marie. Most Disers would agree I think. It's a term of affection.

Top be honest, I'm actually really surprised you got the FP time you did for Soarin'. That's not bad at all.

Yeah, you could eat in the Showcase, but... CHICKEN NUGS!!!

You know, I don't think I've done anything in Innoventions apart from Sum of All Thrills (which I found boring). But with humour like that (at Where's The Fire?), I may have to.

The Magic Kingdom and Epcot are my favorites, too - but Magic Kingdom is definitely the only right way to start a trip IMO! :thumbsup2

It happens to all of us! My DBF definitely needs his sleep, but I'm a bit of a grouch with no sleep (or when it's too hot), too. We had a moment in Epcot where I was just "no, no, no, no, no" to everything. A cool drink and a rest in the food court sorted it out, though!

I think so to ;) I have lots of love for Spaceship Earth, I think it's just as photogenic as the castle. But it is what it is!

I know right? Looking back at it now, I'm realizing that, though at that point I didn't think much of it. It was a really quiet day though, so that could explain it!

Chicken nuggets are very nommy, especially at Disney ;) Plus, Amber and I are so picky about food, but in such different ways, that QS in the WS doesn't always work out that well

We like doing Stormstruck for some reason, and Where's The Fire was cute, too. They're nice things to do when everything else is packed or it's really hot out - it feels so nice and cool inside Innoventions! We do want to explore the other things to do in there a bit more, too, just so we can say we did it all ;)

Always! I love Epcot, and it's Amber's favorite, but starting with MK is just what's right!

And yeah, we both have our different ways of being grouchy from no sleep ;) I've got a bit more of a grouchy attitude in general than Amber does, I have to admit it, and walking around all day in the heat doesn't really help! But what won't we do for Disney, right? ;)

i cant wait to read

Welcome aboard! :) Hope you enjoy it

November 16: Part 2 - "This is half an hour of our life we're never getting back"

With our lesson on fire safety completed, we decided it was time to go off and take flight - it was Soarin' time!

Off to the Land! (Said in Peter's voice, of course)

026_zps91b69c55.jpg

Of course, Amber wasn't quite as excited about this as I was. Soarin' is my happy place, every single time. For her, however - it makes her want to jump off. But then, she makes me go on Dinosaur, so we're square

After being boarded by our good ol' pal Kronk and having a safe landing, we decided to explore the Land a bit more and ended up here

027_zps10625b94.jpg

Living with the Land!

029_zps41ea963b.jpg

It's just such an awesome ride. I love going through the greenhouses, and learning rides are always so interesting to me at Disney (nowhere else, just at Disney)

030_zpsfaaf7b1b.jpg

Once done learning about the ecosystem and ways to be resourceful, we decided to try something out we'd never done before!

Captain EO

Oh God.

Okay, so I know some people enjoy this attraction, and all the more power to you if you do. I have nothing against Michael Jackson, he was definitely a very talented artist.

But come on.

THIS?

I do have one thing I enjoy that relates to Captain EO. And it's to see the look on people's faces when I describe it to them, as an 80s movie featuring Michael Jackson who tries to save the planet from an alien race through dance and music. It's a pretty priceless look.

So, after those slightly painful 30 minutes of our lives, which we were never to get back, we moved on toward another new for us, hopeful it would be a bit more to our taste

Figment!

031_zpsdbdc4c77.jpg

032_zpsc9d18ba7.jpg

Again, nothing groundbreaking here, but a bit more enjoyable to us at the very least! Plus, it's got Eric Idle, which is a win situation in my opinion. It was a cute ride, which didn't turn into a must do for us, but it doesn't go to say we'd never do it again!

And of course, I had to show off my Figment appreciation still, cause he's a cute little guy

033_zpsfeb32d9c.jpg

Country representative pins!

034_zpse2f9ed1c.jpg

I realized in May, belatedly, that I let one of those slip by - the Pluto in Canada one. It was the first time I'd seen any of those on a CM's lanyard, too!

Oh well, there's always a next time!

That day was a day of lots of firsts, so we moved on to our next experience - Ellen's Energy Adventure!

035_zps674d199c.jpg

Okay, so that's another one that's a little underwhelming. It is very good for a midday rest though, and I love Ellen Degeneres, who doesn't get old in spite of the slightly outdated ride

And then we headed on over to Mission: SPACE! To the green side. Yeah yeah, I know, it's not as fun, but Amber is very prone to motion sickness, and even my stomach gets unsettled at times, so we thought it pretty unwise to try out the orange side

036_zps3fc8541f.jpg

We ended up being alone in our group

037_zpsc86e7f2d.jpg

So we had to take care of two people's jobs each. Stressful expedition to Mars, I tell ya!

038_zpse27e89e6.jpg

With most everything now crossed off of list from Future World, with this day and our first Epcot day combined, we headed off toward the World Showcase next, deciding it was time for some more exploration!

039_zpsa911883a.jpg

Our exploration was cut a little short as Amber had to stop for a cinnamon and sugar pretzel outside of Canada

041_zps1850faca.jpg

Happy pretzel camper

042_zps60824b9c.jpg

It was gone in minutes. Seven, to be more exact (according to my camera's time stamp)

She was clearly very pleased with the outcome

043_zpsb1cdb1fe.jpg

With the pretzel gone, we moved on to explore my homeland, Canada!

044_zpsa20e389d.jpg

Someday, Le Cellier, someday we'll get to experience you

045_zpsdf2b44f5.jpg

So much pretty. I've heard certain people say that they don't understand why Canada even has a spot in the World Showcase. Well, it just does

046_zpsa0b59247.jpg

047_zps3e2ccea3.jpg

Besides, if there was no Canada, there would be no Cellier!

049_zpsc8f13719.jpg

Amber, appreciating the Canadianess around her

Off to watch O Canada!

November 16: Part 3 - "This makes me want to cry, and I'm not even American!"

After appreciating Martin Short's humor for its worth (like, how can people not enjoy this movie? It's priceless. "Fine, I'll go over to France, where they enjoy an invisible narrator!" Like, Canada, you're so sassy and I like it), we went on our way toward the next Showcase

Passing Off Kilter on the way - which, one of Amber's goals for September is to actually sit down and watch them perform, because we've never done that

053_zpsd51f490c.jpg

Over through the UK

054_zps5f59b90f.jpg

Which is another gorgeous pavillion

055_zps72742423.jpg

Which, okay, all pavillions are gorgeous. I mean, there's so much detail and care that went into the design of every single one of them!

057_zps59427df5.jpg

058_zps1ddc5466.jpg

Yes, I have favorites and least favorites, but all in all, they all deserve a honorable mention. Which may defeat the purpose of such a thing, but shh

059_zps84e95c7a.jpg

Moving on to France!

061_zps5094984d.jpg

Which is a bit more toward the bottom of my list. But then, it's got the bakery and Grey Goose slushies, so you know

064_zps8e73cf7d.jpg

There was someone we wanted to see whom we hadn't met yet, so we got in the reasonably sized line and waited for her to come back out!

And since you're good with Disney knowledge (and have read my previous updates and so know who we met in France on our first Epcot day), you know who I'm talking about here

Belle, of course!

066_zpsc18a51f4.jpg

She was very sweet, we chatted for a little bit and then moved on to our next destination

The Earth was already out at this point for IllumiNations, so we snatched a picture

067_zpsf9967eaf.jpg

Christmas tree!

068_zps58f1fed5.jpg

My only disappointment about going in mid November rather than early December is that we missed out on the Christmas/Holiday themed activities at Epcot. The story tellers, for one, seeing as their areas were already set up

069_zpsc13c42cb.jpg

And of course, the Candlelight Processional. It is on our Disney bucket list though, so we'll get to it!

We headed over to America this time around, figuring we hadn't taken much time to look it over the previous day. And of course, we had to get ourselves a treat!

Amber got herself a blue raspberry slushie

070_zps161f3d3a.jpg

And I turned things around, and got myself a Canadian Dream rather than an American Dream!

071_zps34ce067c.jpg

What can I say? I just like strawberry flavored better than blue raspberry. It was a delicious decision, believe me

We sat by the fountain while enjoying our drinks, and with that done, we headed inside for the first time. We had to see the American Adventure!

072_zps208a7b09.jpg

073_zps2e325845.jpg

Look at all the pretty decorations

076_zpsa876dbcc.jpg

Off to get educated on America

077_zpsd1370ce8.jpg

I truly do love this show, and the song, too. Amber always cries when we see it, and I tear up. I've always said, from the first time we'd seen it, that if I were American, I'd just bawl my eyes out

078_zps378e8ded.jpg

By the time we were done being moved and awed by the American history, it was already getting dark out! Last Epcot day, why are you going by so fast!?

We moved on to Italy next, and got a few not so good pictures because it was dark, but we hadn't explored Italy at all on the first day, and I couldn't just not have pictures!

082_zps6835c91a.jpg

There's really, sadly, not much to do in Italy, except eat and drink (which... you know), but it's so, so gorgeous

085_zps08581fe0.jpg

086_zpsad1d8632.jpg

Passing by Germany next, though we didn't really stop there (Amber's Agent P adventure gave us plenty of time to see it, believe me)

November 16: Part 4 - "Pretty lady behind you!"

There was still something we hadn't done yet in the World Showcase, so we made our way over to China to get that taken care of!

We headed toward the theater area, so we could see China's movie, and as we were making our way inside, a Cast Member motioned behind us to try and get our attention

We turned around, and Mulan was there!

091_zpsf3811d54.jpg

She was by herself, just standing a few feet off the entrance, and we definitely wouldn't have seen her if the Cast Member hadn't pointed her out. She was a complete sweetheart too, and this was one of my favorite Mulan meets

Of course, we thanked the Cast Member who tipped us off! And I got a picture with her as well

090_zps06cf9a6a.jpg

We then headed off inside the building so we could look around a little while waiting for the movie to start

092_zps33914ec4.jpg

China is beautiful, and definitely a country I'd like to see someday. But I like the Canada movie better. There! I said it!

093_zpsb0c37f8c.jpg

As we were in China and we hadn't spent much time looking around it previously, we took a look around the store

094_zpsa8613899.jpg

095_zps269c6473.jpg

Epcot is the worst for me, when it comes to stores. Everything is so pretty and different and I want it all. Of course, other stores throughout the World are the same way (especially now the store at the exit of the Fairytale Hall), but somehow, it happens even more in Epcot, more specifically in the World Showcase

096_zpsdd23cd22.jpg

Like, I don't need fancy chopsticks in my every day life, but I still want them!

Of course, Amber always keeps me grounded (aka, says no a lot), so I don't go too crazy

097_zps5f0d62c2.jpg

So we merely took a few more pictures, and went back on our way

098_zps318b05d6.jpg

099_zpsbbe60eae.jpg

We had to head back the way we'd come, so we decided to stop by Norway on the way. We rode the Maelstrom with very minimal wait, and actually stayed around for the movie afterward. Yes, you read that right

101_zps63cbebbb.jpg

Proud viking! Okay, not so much. But you never know. I've got some heritage from over there. One of my ancestors could very well have been a viking!

With our Norwegian adventure completed, we headed over toward our dinner destination! My Aunt and Uncle were no longer in Epcot by that time, so for the first time, we would have a Table Service meal without them, as they'd made use of their Park Hopper and headed off to Hollywood Studios for their 50s Prime Time Cafe reservation!

As for us, we picked Teppan Edo!

103_zps6fc9d6f8.jpg

Which, for anyone that's been following with Amber's TR, and my May PTR, now knows that it's because a favorite of ours

105_zps0393450b.jpg

Such good food. That chicken. Those noodles. Unf!

107_zps03c883ec.jpg

Our chef was great, as well. Her name was Mayo (pronounced like in Cinco de Mayo, not as in Mayonnaise), and she was really funny

108_zps1990cdbd.jpg

All the chefs around were super serious, but she kept joking around. Probably because we were kinda seated at the kids' table - there was a large group, eight of which were sitting at a table in the other far corner of the room, and all the youngsters from that group, plus one responsible adult, ended up at the same table as us

They were good kids though, not rowdy, so it wasn't a big deal

We put away that chicken and those noodles in record time, and then it was time to select dessert. When we pay out of pocket for Teppan Edo, we don't get dessert - the selection isn't really worth a special mention. But since we were on the Dining Plan that time around, we both went for the soft serve ice cream

109_zpsc6fd4d50.jpg

Very Japanese, right? ;)

By the time we were done with dinner and left the restaurant, it was almost a quarter past nine, so IllumiNations was finishing up, with crowds all around the lagoon. We decided not to try and find a spot or stop anywhere, and instead just kept walking around the World Showcase (carefully, of course, with those dimmed lights) to try and beat some of the crowds on our way out

It was a partly successful endeavor, and soon we were nearing the front of the park

110_zps3bf978eb.jpg

So long, Epcot! We'll meet again, promise!

111_zps782b914e.jpg

The bus ride back to the resort was fairly uneventful, and we headed straight to bed once we got back to our room, needing some good rest before our very last park day!

After being boarded by our good ol' pal Kronk

... Nice!!

Captain EO was impressive in its day. This, however, is not the day. Surprisingly, I've never seen it in the World, just once in Disneyland.

You know, reading about you going attraction to attraction really shows the lack of quality rides at Epcot. Yet I still LOVE Epcot. Well, probably more World Showcase.

Watching Off Kilter perform is a great goal. They're awesome.

Aww nice, a two for one photo. Mulan AND CM.

I'm a little in shock that Amber didn't request staying for Illuminations. OK, a lot in shock.

I know exactly what movie you are talking about above. I never did do EO, but wondered if it was similar to this. Did MJ turn into a Claymation at one point? I remember him as a jack rabbit on a rollercoaster...

I cannot unhear Kronk's voice, so every single time we go to Soarin', that's all I think about during the pre-ride video!

I'm sure it was very well appreciated in the 80s. But you know, we haven't kept around that many things from the 80s. They should take the hint :P

I know, it really doesn't have that much, which is why I'm glad about the talk of updating it some. The World Showcase is the best part of it, really

We will definitely try to make it!

That was a great surprise :) That CM was really sweet to point her out, because we'd have never seen her!

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it was more than halfway through by the time we got out, so we figured we could partly appreciate it as we walked along to the exit and still beat the main of the crowd

I honestly do not have that many memories of it (one might say thank goodness for that :P) but that doesn't ring a bell :P

November 17: Part 1 - "When did that Christmas tree show up?!"

The last day! The very, very last day! Can you believe it?

And it only took me, like, what. One year and seven months to get to this point?

Aaanyway

We got up that morning, full of good intentions! We definitely wanted to make the best of our last day!

We got ourselves dressed for the slightly chilly weather (it was getting to be late November, after all) and we made our way over to the lobby

Overnight, the French Quarter had put on its Christmas cheer!

002_zps3754cf29.jpg

So of course, we had to take pictures of yet another Disney Christmas tree. Someday, we'll go in December, and see all the amazing Christmas decorations Disney has to offer

003_zps35994ca7.jpg

In the meantime, my Christmas loving soul was definitely satisfied with the pre-Thanksgiving offerings

We hopped the bus to our park of the day, excited to get started

And of course, we were headed to the Magic Kingdom! It was still early, around 8:30 or so by the time we made it there. We had wanted to catch the morning welcome show!

However, it would appear I really wasn't on top of my game that trip, because there were morning Extra Magic Hours, and so the park was already open! Oops!

I was a bit upset with myself for missing that one, but we made it inside the park nonetheless, catching the trolley show as we did!

004_zps2bcbbd07.jpg

005_zpse66d7458.jpg

And look at this empty park!

008_zps747ade8d.jpg

Definitely my kind of crowd level

We made our way up Main Street, stopping here and there along the way to take a few pictures

009_zpsc765ac7c.jpg

010_zpsda5cd76d.jpg

011_zps08d05e9e.jpg

Aren't Mickey and Minnie so precious?

Once we got closer to the hub, we decided we had to get a picture with the majestic symbol of the Magic Kingdom

012_zps672efd71.jpg

And of course, I'm referring to the crane here. Though, the Castle's not too bad either

With that out of the way, we headed over toward Adventureland!

013_zpse08bb6c1.jpg

We stopped by to meet a couple of new friends on the way in

TinkerBell!

014_zps989574a0.jpg

And Periwinkle!

015_zpsd5cf5d75.jpg

The meeting was a bit underwhelming, but at that time, we had never seen any of the TinkerBell movies, much less the Secret of the Wings, so not only were we not familiar with the franchise to start with and only knew of Tink from Peter Pan, we had absolutely no idea who Periwinkle was. We know better now!

We bid our fairy friends goodbye and headed on our merry way

016_zpsfbc9a7b4.jpg

Passing by the spitting camel, thankfully not become its next victims

017_zpsaf14829d.jpg

Off to the Jungle Cruise!

018_zpsaae1582c.jpg

I like this ride, but Amber has a much deeper appreciation of it. It's because all the puns, guys. She's a punny one. There are few things she likes more than a good pun

019_zps6c67740a.jpg

And of course, I'm just the one sitting there, completely oblivious, walking into the most obvious traps

020_zps092341b6.jpg

Skipper: Can you guys say what type of snake this is? Starts with a 'P'
Me: *confidently* Python
Skipper: Plastic

*headdesk*

It's okay, I didn't shout it out, and other people gave the same answer, so they didn't throw me off the boat

021_zps48a778d1.jpg

022_zps83bc8304.jpg

Look at those lions, protecting that sleeping zebra :P

023_zpsfc6b21c7.jpg

I always feel a lot of sympathy for that poor guy at the bottom

I really like EMH EXCEPT when I don't know it's happening. I've missed the morning show a few times as a result.

Jungle Cruise. I don't even care... I love those corny jokes, even if it's usually just me laughing.

So I'm totally reading all your trip reports backwards lol. But I do love them all, you two are such good writers! It's kind of fun reading them all backwards, it's cool to reflect on your early disney days! Sad this one is coming to an end :(

They are pretty awesome, the parks are just so cleared of people when it's morning time! But yeah, they're that much better when you know of them :P

I do enjoy Jungle Cruise, but Amber is a wildly more appreciative audience for puns than I am ;) Though, it's always so much better when the Skipper doesn't just stick to the script

Awww thanks! Mine is a bit more dusty from how old it is :P And wouldn't you know, of course Amber got hers done first! But no worries, we're hoping to have lots of Disney trips throughout our lives, so there should be plenty of TRs to go along with those ;)

November 17: Part 2 - "Give a thumbs up, we almost didn't get wet!"

We disembarked from our wild journey along the rivers of the world and took the time to appreciate a bit more of the theming before leaving the area

031_zps60b7948b.jpg

Moving along through the rest of Adventureland, and picking our next wild ride

032_zpsba13e83f.jpg

Aladdin's Carpets! Yes. Again.

033_zpsf115e2ec.jpg

My Aunt and Uncle hadn't ridden it yet, so we figured we might as well considering the fact that there was literally no line. Probably a mix of people not usually starting in Adventureland, and the fact that it's, well... Aladdin's Carpets

034_zps9b197401.jpg

We flew freely through the air for a few minutes, and then got off the ride to head on to our next experience, which would be a first for us

035_zps7d3a521d.jpg

The Enchanted Tiki Room!

036_zps2a38e19a.jpg

037_zps7cce83c2.jpg

038_zpsfa878f5c.jpg

Obviously, we were on a roll for an exciting morning. Thus far, it's still the only time we've ever seen that show, yet there will still be times when the song randomly gets stuck in my head. Though, maybe it's not so random, seeing as I've taken to listening to the 1 hour long YouTube video of the Magic Kingdom entrance loop. It's a very good use of your time, if you've never done it yet. I especially enjoy the Under the Sea sequence. Gets me dancing in my seat every time

Our next pick for the day was another very short wait, over at Pirates of the Caribbean!

039_zps0ca81612.jpg

Look at that walk on. Sometimes, I wonder what it must be like to be at Disney during busy times of year. Doing mid November the very first time has really spoiled me and made be a ride snob - even half an hour waits seem too long for me at times now - and I've waited three hours for a roller coaster before, so you know. I really don't know what's gotten into me

040_zpsd405fc35.jpg

042_zpscbef1b1d.jpg

We walked along the queue and got into our boats, enjoying our adventure through the land of pirates, and managing to snatch a fairly good picture (without flash, of course) of Captain Jack Sparrow himself

043_zps7aa22f43.jpg

Okay, so my Uncle managed to snatch a good picture. Our camera doesn't do that well

It was actually after that ride, too, that we split up and went our separate ways for the rest of the day. Amber and I then made our way into Frontierland, and got ourselves FastPasses for Big Thunder Mountain!

044_zps19a909d5.jpg

(Btw, anyone heard they had to be handing out paper FastPasses again today because the FP+ system was down all over the parks? I think there was just as much excitement over getting those again as there was upsetness over people losing their reserved times)

After snatching that up, we went off next door and got in line for Splash Mountain!

045_zps12766524.jpg

You can't really tell with the lighting, but that was another 5 (or maybe 10) minutes wait. Clearly, we were on a roll!

Those were the good days

046_zps2ced2d53.jpg

Oh no! Fifty foot drop ahead! Should we keep going?

Of course we should!

048_zps2d46be9e.jpg

049_zps7eacbf83.jpg

And we made it folks! Only a little wet at that

050_zps038475a5.jpg

051_zps91aa094a.jpg

Honestly, nothing compared to the drenching we got in May. And this comparison is what makes me think that there's less water in Splash Mountain during the colder months of the year. But it could also be the fact that we were sitting in the third row

052_zpsdc814457.jpg

By ourselves. Yeah, it was definitely a five minutes wait

Once we exited our mountain adventure, there were a couple of cowboys (or well, a cowboy and a cowgirl) standing outside meeting people, so we figured we should join in!

053_zps3a46e7f0.jpg

054_zpse53b03ea.jpg

Before heading over to use our FastPass for Big Thunder!

055_zps07a6dde0.jpg

We happily rode the wildest ride in the wilderness, and got ourselves a picture in front of the mountain by a PhotoPass CM who was standing nearby

056_zps294b2ac5.jpg

He was really excited when he realized he'd managed to get the train going by in the background, too! Such a cutie

November 17: Part 3 - "That duck just stole my french fry!"

Having explored the greater majority of Frontierland at that point (meaning we did bypass the Country Bears Jamboree. Sorry Rob!), we moved on to the next section over, getting a few pictures on the way

058_zpsd72ecd8e.jpg

059_zps2d416254.jpg

061_zpsf6977827.jpg

Soon reaching Liberty Square!

063_zps9cff2c11.jpg

I'm looking forward to someday eating dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. We're saving it for another time when we'll have the Free Dining Plan again, because Amber can never justify paying the out of pocket cost for an all-you-can-eat type meal, seeing as she doesn't eat a whole lot

She also wasn't impressed at me making her do this

064_zps376ef186.jpg

But I take a photo opportunity when I see it!

As it was, we were only walking through Liberty Square at this point, with no intention of stopping anywhere really

066_zps645bda9c.jpg

Instead heading over to grab us some of these!

067_zpsa690c31f.jpg

Because somehow, Peter Pan's Flights is just one of those rides that gets the crazy wait time even when everything else in the park is below a 20 minutes wait. I mean, it's a neat ride, but I don't get it. I think I'd understand it better if it were in Hollywood Studios, which lacks family friendly rides, but Magic Kingdom is overflowing with those, so why this one above others?

Moving on, we were getting pretty hungry at that point, so we decided to head around the Castle and go in search of food!

068_zps31c2c842.jpg

Getting a few pictures on the way. Because Castle

069_zps00c8f098.jpg

There's really no need for further explanation. Castle. That says it all

070_zps36b1e636.jpg

071_zps8f4c4924.jpg

We caught some of the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Dance Party while on the way back toward Main Street U.S.A.

073_zps667efa22.jpg

This is honestly one of my favorite outfits of Minnie's. She's so adorable in it!

And Mickey's looking pretty good, too ;)

074_zpsbfbd861b.jpg

Although we had originally discussed other plans for our Magic Kingdom quick service meals, we ended up chosing to go by Casey's Corner

077_zps6df3c086.jpg

We both just got ourselves a plain hotdog meal. Amber got hers along with the brownie for dessert

078_zps7bc96a85.jpg

And I got mine with the Cotton Candy!

079_zpsd472cc73.jpg

Which, I didn't really end up eating any of. We packed it to bring it back home, but by that time, it was pretty flattened. Not quite as appealing when it gets to that point

Once we settled down at the table with our meals, we encountered for the first time Disney's fearless, ruthless feathery creatures. I give you, a duck

080_zps90677756.jpg

That duck stole a fry. From Amber's fingers. She was letting her hand hang down a little, with a fry between her fingers, and the duck jumped up to snatch it. I bet it was pretty proud of itself, too. I bet those ducks can smell Disney newbies. The unsuspecting travellers, who have no idea what length Disney ducks (and squirrels, I've heard) will go to get their fix. It was surely cackling under its breath when it spotted that fry

I think I'm getting off course

Anyway, so once we were done eating, we made our way over to our next pick for the day (or well, in this case, my next pick)

081_zps4990e182.jpg

We got in love to meet the newest princess of the time!

082_zpsff551caa.jpg

Who just so happens to have Amber's least favorite queues of all the character meets locations, because she feels it's just always in direct sunlight

083_zpsf06198e9.jpg

Merida!

November 17: Part 4 - "But they're so cute and fluffy!"

I do enjoy Merida's queue once you get away from the outer part of it, though

085_zpse014bf39.jpg

The theming is really neat, and it's so cute that they have a spot for kids to color and try shooting arrows while waiting in line!

086_zps5c29cb3d.jpg

087_zps91f55720.jpg

So much detail

088_zps2cd52968.jpg

I wanted to try shooting an arrow myself, but seeing as no other adults were doing it, and it didn't really seem encouraged for them to try, either, I abstained

090_zps3e289ee5.jpg

091_zpse8069caf.jpg

We finally got up to meet the fiery Scottish princess, and it was a nice meeting. Not great, not bad. Just okay

093_zpsfa1281f1.jpg

She did point out Amber's Phineas and Ferb pin, and mention how she, much like Candace, has little brothers who also drive her nuts

094_zps62d51977.jpg

Of course, she still looks flawless though

After meeting Merida, we headed on our way to use up our Peter Pan FastPass!

095_zpsaa9742f9.jpg

Flying over London and Neverland, and making a safe return in spite of those mean pirates, before heading over to the next attraction over - PhilharMagic!

096_zpsd6d3c43f.jpg

That is always a good and easy decision to make. Hardly ever a wait time at all (if only to wait for the next showing), and I just love the 3D effect and the smells and just the whole of it!

Plus, those posters always crack me up

097_zps4e322c3c.jpg

098_zpsd1e4c5b3.jpg

099_zpsecd5a724.jpg

100_zpsecd5a724.jpg

I wish they'd sell them, if just even in postcard form. I would definitely buy those

101_zpsc1a31b59.jpg

Next up was the Carousel!

102_zpsb9695634.jpg

Clearly, we were being very productive that day! I really miss November crowds

Not that crowds very badly affect the Carousel, but you know what I mean

103_zpscc2e235b.jpg

We stuck around Fantasyland for a bit longer, figuring we'd make the most of the current wait times. Taking a few pictures in front of the construction walls that were still up for New Fantasyland and the Mine Train constuction!

104_zps9a8a9cff.jpg

105_zps28c4b1c2.jpg

Sooooo excited to ride it in September!

106_zps2d115326.jpg

We then headed over to ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, after which I bonded with these little cuties

107_zpsc1c46eae.jpg

Which I did not buy, because I'm trying to limit my plushies intake. Or well, my suitcase was already getting pretty filled up with souvenirs. Or actually most likely, Amber wouldn't let me. You take your pick. We did get one of them for our little cousin Elsye though, because it was so soft and cuddly and had a little ringing bell in it, too!

At that point, we decided to make our way out of Fantasyland and move on to the next section, though not before getting a picture in front of the teacups

108_zpsca82dbf8.jpg

We then went inside Mickey's Star Traders to look around for a little bit, and I made another plushed friend, although I again did not take him home with me

109_zpsfadc8515.jpg

But he's just so cute and fluffy!

Amber then decided it was time for a snack, so she went and got herself this

110_zps3efcdda1.jpg

Mickey Pretzel!

Just look at how happy she is, chowing down on that
