Finding the right touring plan

I completely understand your position and have pondered similar thoughts regarding our trips at times. We have 4 kids who will be 3, 8, 12, and 13 on our next trip in less than three weeks.

I also like to have a general plan of attack and we find it to be helpful when in the parks. We are not park commandos and we take mid after noon breaks nearly every day.

I general what I do is highlight particular attractions or rides we especially want to see in each park and then work a loose plan around those highlights and whatever else we fit in is a bonus.

For example, in MK we want to do the Fantasyland rides with our 3 year old (Dumbo being a huge draw), so we plan to do Fantasyland on MK am EMH starting with Dumbo (and as another mentioned, having someone else get fastpasses).

Sounds like you already have a really great perspective on the trip and what you will get accomplished. I always remind myself, is the trip really about what we get done/see/do or is it about spending time as a family and making memories. When I can let that be my guide, we have wonderful trips :goodvibes When my planning commando takes over, we usually have meltdowns...often they are mine
