Just wondering if anyone has experience this ride in both the day and night and noticed any difference. Is it better at night because there is no sunlight shining through the water or does it not matter?

I like it much better during the day, because the sunlight coming through the water really seems to enhance and brighten up the coral and other displays. Daytime also seems to make more of a difference between the outdoor first half and caves/deeper under water of the second half of the ride.

Thanks for that, thats what I wanted to know.

I also find the daytime experience to be better. You can't see as much under the water after dark in my experience.

I don’t normally struggle with claustrophobia, but on this ride I do a bit. i’m able to mind of matter & still ride it, but it’s worse at night.

Oh thanks for your thoughts. My family suffers from claustrophobia a bit too but only in certain circumstances (we all know our triggers). I feel we will be okay on this as we know it doesn't go all the way under the water and we will be distracted by the things we are seeing out the window. Its more a noise thing for us, being cramped in with noisy people does us in. I know there could be screaming children when we go on but maybe we will luck out. I usually scope out those people around us in the queue when we ride things like Star Tours and if I see there are really noisy children we will politely ask the CM to go on the next pod. I think I might also get us some noise cancelling ear pods this time which will help too. We'll have a family discussion and look at some videos and decide.
