We visited DL a few summers ago, just as the Nemo ride opened. I remember the wait for this ride was crazy. I think it was over 2 hours?? Anyway, we didn't go on it, opted to go on other rides instead. I was wondering what the wait times have been lately. We will be returning for a visit in a few weeks.

Thans!

Our wait was al ittle over 35 minutes. We were there last week and rode it rather early in the day when the line was not bad. With a ride like this one that does not have a fast pass option, you have to do this one early in order to avoid a long wait.

35 minutes is nothing, plus we are early risers and like to be at the parks when it opens!! I remember when we were there just as the park opened and the line was crazy! Thanks for the info!

I got on the ride about 45 minutes after park opening and waited about 10 minutes for it. Go early and you shouldn't have any trouble.

This past Wednesday we went straight there at park opening and the wait was about 10 minutes. My kids ended up being scared on the ride. We did every dark ride in both parks and this was the only one they did not like at all! I'm glad we didn't wait a long time for it!

Last July, we went straight to Nemo at opening and were able to walk on. I couldn't believe it...made our whole day! The other times we've ridden it, we've gotten in line right before the park closed and rode with only a five or ten minute wait.

we were on the first sub! We took the monorail from DTD. We enjoyed it -- we love Nemo, and own the DVD -- but I didn't like it enough to wait a long time for it. I think it's a good one to ride first on an early entry day. Even after we got off, we were able to walk on Matterhorn twice, and quickly get on most of the Fantasyland ride too -- and this was in high summer. During the afternoons, it was a mob scene.

That is our plan in a couple of weeks - can I ask, what time did you start lining up for MM?

but we still made it on the first monorail to DLR and headed straight to Nemo. It was great! We also were the first ones on Autopia -- that didn't open right at 7am. I was shocked -- this was our first time doing MM, and boy was it worth it. Not just because of the Tomorrowland/Fantasyland rides, but because of being at the entrance of the other lands right when they opened at 8am and being able to walk on HM and POTC. We are going to do it again this year. I was really surprised how many eligible people don't use MM. But lots of people want to sleep in on vacation, so that's understandable, but we are early risers generally and easily getting onto so many rides by 9am made our trip. Have fun!

PS -- I really like Northern England -- you are coming from a long way! I haven't been to Manchester, but my best friend from college lives in Leeds, and I've spent some time there and in York.

We were at DL June 17, 18, and 19. Almost every time we walked past Nemo the wait time sign said 45 minutes. Well, on Friday night at about 11:30 pm we were walking to the monorail to take it back to our hotel and the wait time said 15 minutes! I think we did get on the ride in about 10 minutes. Don’t know if this often happens late at night or not but it worked for us! 

Thanks! That is probably the way we will end up going on it. Not on the top 10 list, but kind of curious about it.

To the PP whose kids were scared:

What didn't they like? We didn't go on Nemo on our last visit (first time at DL) but hope to try it out this weekend when we go again. However, I don't want our daughter (almost 3 years old) to be scared of it. She doesn't love the dark or very loud sounds. Since I don't know what the ride is like and you do, do you think we could/should take her on it?

They weren't thrilled during the sharks part and there is an explosion that is kind of loud and dark. My 6 year old told me today that he doesn't want to ride that ride for a long time!

We rode the ride on park opening in December (well sort of) and we almost walked straight on, we only waited about 5 minutes, after seeing long waits our whole visit so we were really excited.

The problem was that I (not my son :rotfl:) freaked out (well it wasn't a complete freak out, it was a calm freakout), so we had to get off just before the hatches closed. I hadn't ever experienced anything like that before, I'm not a huge claustrophobic. Anyway we were being led away to what I thought was the exit but no, we were taken to a room (and a good sized room) where we could experience the ride. It was all done up like it was a submarine and they had the whole ride on a screen, it was fantastic. I think it is for people in wheelchairs and others with mobility problems who can not make it down the steep spiraling staircase but they obviously use it for small space challenged people like myself :rotfl:.

But it's something to keep in mind if anybody has claustrophobia or they children don't like the small confined space of the submarine or maybe even those who get a little scared, they can go into this room and have room to move around, it's wonderful and if anybody is scared then you just go out the door, you don't have to wait for the ride to end.

I'm so happy to hear about the other room. I have terrible knee issues and I was worried I wouldn't be able to make it down the spiral stairs :yay:.

I've also been in the "little room" because I was having some issues with anxiety and claustrophobia. Basically, you talk to the CM at the entrance and ask them. They'll send you through the exit and then you talk to the next CM. If there is a group in the room, you may have to wait a few minutes. You enter the room and are told that there is a camera on the sub that is about to depart and that you are going to see what they see. The room is spacious, but is designed to look like you are in a sub. There are TV screens that are the "windows" of the sub and you get to see everything. If you need to leave at any time, there is another door to exit. Although it wasn't the exact experience, IMO it was definitely worth it and there was maybe a 5-minute wait instead of an hour wait :)

This sounds great. I will not be able to go on the ride as I am a little claustrophobic but my DH will ride with our boys. It will be nice to be able to discuss the ride with the family. :)
