Finding Nebo, Yes THAT Nebo, not the fish!

Is this where I sign up for the Nebo fan club?? I know, I'm always late!

If you haven't heard about mdf yet, pm me and I'll give you the scoop!

colleen, I must have accidentally deleted it... sorry. send again?
PS, Hi aidz!

Someone remind me, who's doing the Nebo Book?

I was packing up their printed copies and thought,

Wouldn't that picture be the perfect book jacket/author photo?!

Each book could have a different author photo like Dean Koontz does.
Sometimes he has his dog, sometimes he don't...
sometimes he has hair, sometimes he don't...

you know what I mean, right?

I like it, Colleen!

Are you printing up some copies of the TRs for him? That's nice!

Aside....Mimi saw the pictures from B&C and said "WOAH! What's with the mustache!" :lmao:

:teeth:

No ma'am, I am printing that photo for them. In color and Black & white. One for their own mantle (or fridge - prepacked in it's own magnet/frame/sleeve) and a few extra in case they want to give them out to the kids ~

Sometimes he has his 'stache, sometimes he don't

Exactamundo!

Me too.
btw, nice pic, it has that timeless look the way they're posed and in b&w.

I LIKE black and white! no yellow teeth! (I brush at least twice a day!, really!)

the photo is like our romance... timeless... (ok.. gack! gack!):rotfl:

Gee, you never know what you'll find while wandering aimlessly on a Friday afternoon at work. :wave2: Hey y'all, long time no see.

Maggie

Hey Maggie! good to hear from you again!

to all you guys who (for SOME reason) love us: mother's day was really good at the restaurant. last weekend was awful. but I got a chance to work a womens' softball banquet wed. night and did really well. and tonight was pretty good. It's hit or miss at the restaurant (you take the good nights with the bad nights) I'll work tomorrow night and all day sunday. maybe people won't go out of town (due to gas prices) and come out to dinner!!! monday I was asked to sub at the VFW, bartending. they have a parade in the AM and are coming back to the VFW for lunch. so I normally have mondays off, so I was free to fill in!!!
on a dif. note, I can't WAIT to see the new INDY movie!!! gotta see it on the BIG screen! (when the 1st one came out, Nebo saw it at least 5 times!!!)
since we have Netflix, we only go to the theater if it's something we want to see on the BIG screen. I want to see that, AND Prince Caspian, AND (of course) the next harry potter. (hmm, maybe we should put a "wait" on our netflix?")
the movies on our "list" are SO disparate. (no, not desperate!:lmao: ) we go from Rat Race, to Left Behind: World at War; to Ben Hur. You can't say we're NOT eclectic!!! ( I DO sneak in some "chick flicks" on the list., sorry honey!)

Diane! We got Netflix too. I like it and we are like you....disparate. We range from Pokemon to Pride & Prejudice. There are also some good free movies to watch online so I do that sometimes.

We almost never go to the movies but we did see Prince Caspian last weekend and it was really good. DS is dying to see Indy so I guess we'll see that too (or I'll bribe Mimi to take him.) I like Shia Lobeuf who has the younger lead in Indy. (I can't wait to see what Steve has to say about his name.) Have you guys seen "Holes"? He was great in that! I liked him in "Transformers" too.

Harry Potter 6 doesn't come out til Nov. 21 so you've got a while on that one. ;)

Have a great weekend. Hope you make a million!

How's my favorite couple doing?

I hope you have a fun and safe weekend.

Love, one of you biggest fans!

yes, melinda, we did see "holes". we are going to see the new indy movie on the morrow. HAVE to see it on the big screen.. I want to see Prince caspian, too. as far as the book series - DARN! I used to have the whole set (boxed set) of "Cronicles of Narnia" C.S. Lewis,( ps. also author of "Mere Christianity"), but I stupidly lent it out to someone. never got it back. Oh well . God Promises His Word will never return empty.(He is using those books, somewhere!)

just wanted to post: check out Nebo's lexicon of "disney definitions on his trip report..... he really outdid himself!!!!:cool1:

What did you think of Indy?

We use Netflix too and also rarely go to the theatre anymore. DH (John) is in charge of the list. I signed us up and ran it until I realized noone was watching what I was getting :(

He and the kids are the real movie buffs so now they run it and are doing quite well. We watched Rambo the other night - not bad, very violent (good gory graphic violence.)

John bought Meet the Robinsons this past weekend too! He said he heard it was funny. It's a good movie, but not really a funny one - like Finding Nemo funny. Finding Nebo was on at the vet last week during my Mika puppie's chemo appt...I forgot how full on freaking funny it is!!! I was laughing out loud right in the waiting room and went straight home and took our copy out and watched it again! I LOVE that movie!

Melinda, yeah, the stache comes and goes. Not a whole lot you can do about changing your appearance when you get bored bur grow it and shave it off. Not like I can go get a new HAIRSTYLE!

  :hippie: :wizard:

I got a really good giggle outta that!

I understand the timeless romance thing...

savor it~

Colleen, I think you misunderstood her. When she meant timeless, she meant the clock doesn't move. She's that bored. "Steve, look, the second hand is just sitting there again."

Gee, you never know what you'll find while wandering aimlessly on a Friday afternoon at work. :wave2: Hey y'all, long time no see.

Maggie

Sure, she ignores all my hard earned work, but HERE she'll post!

You know, I have no idea how to pronounce his name. I have been saying
Shee-a Laboof. Kind of hard to have fun with a name when you don't know how it's supposed to sound in the first place.
Just saw the new Indy today, and it is really good. Lotsa fun! And are you sayin the Half Blood Prince doesn't come out until November? I'm devastated, I thought that was a summer release again.

By the way, I just saw a big sign at the theatre saying a new Disney/Pixar movie coming out in a couple weeks that I never heard of. ?????? Something called Wall-E? I don't get it. How can I not have heard of it? To me, this doesn't look good, I hope Pixar isn't losing it. I personally thought Ratatouie was kinda sucky, it's on the bottom of my Pixar list.

Yes Colleen, Nemo is terrific, best of Pixar, with Monster's Inc right behind.
Ok, Then Toy Story, The Incredibles, A Bugs Life, Cars, Toy Story2, and Ratty at the bottom. Hmm, what am I missing?

see ya:yay:
