It's so nice how all the BF stuff is organized in one (various) places. So, what about now? We've just found out about a family at our church in which the grandparents are suddenly raising their five grand children. So, I need to stretch my Christas budget a little more as we've decided to help them. Anyway...too much back story, but this is why I didn't get all prepared prior to BF. bummer, huh? :coffee:

So, what are your go to sites? Hoping for a bit easier than going retailer by retailer. I don't have a list yet, just trying to get the basics set up.

BTW, this is not a "hidden" plea for "donations." the only thing I am looking for are tips and ideas.

I discovered a site called NowInStock.net. They list who has what you're looking for and at what price.

What types of things are you looking for? I'm still getting a bunch of emails from stores about after BF sales going on and free shipping offers. I would also recommend going through ebates if you shop online. I have gotten a decent chunk in my account from my online shopping last weekend.

Places like Micheals and Hobby Lobby have 50% off an item right now, and 24-40% many other things. I bough my niece $60 in art supplies for $25.

Check specific places for coupons. In November Fisher Price had an "email a friend about this $10 coupon and get one too" deal. I already have 4 email addresses, so I sent them to myself. Ended up getting $35 in toys for $9.50.

TRU has Legos BOGO half off this week, and they'll price match. Show them targets ad for $14.99 Lego set, that they're selling for $18.99... And get the 1/2 off deal.

I didn't know TRU price matched! Thanks for sharing that info!! That makes their sale really good.

I use a site called hip2save.com. She lists all sorts of stuff throughout the day. We might be able to give you better advice if we knew what kind of things you are looking for (i.e. clothing, toys, books, etc.)

I can tell you that if I have a bunch of items - especially if they are pricy ones that I'm looking to buy for Christmas - I always save the Black Friday ads to compare prices - it helps me know if something is a good deal or not. Actually, you can often do better than the Black Friday price. also, depending on what you are looking for - don't forget about thrift shops - the ultimate in recycling!
