Anyone know if Finding Dory is playing on the Fantasy yet? If not, does anyone know when they start showing new releases on board?

They premier movies onboard the same time they premier on land. I believe Finding Dory releases on June 17th. There are often midnight showings of the movies on the day they premier.

It will show at 12:01 am (local) on June 17th. The ships do not get any of the movies for showing before they are released in the theaters in the US.
My family and I will be watching it at that time on Disney Magic on the last night of our 12-night British Isles cruise.

Yes, so technically it is the night before it is released if you subscribe to the "if you haven't been to bed yet it is still that night" theory.

Do we know how long the movie is expected to run on the ships? I have a July 11th Dream cruise and if I can see it onboard then I can save the money and not eat the crappy popcorn from my local theater

First run Disney movies run much longer onboard the ships than they do on land. Since Finding Dory opens Jun 17th, I'm fairly confident that it'll still be onboard in July.

The Disney movies usually stay on the cruise ships til another newer movie "bumps" them out of the line up. On July 1st Disney is releasing BFG (Big Friendly Giant.) Spielberg is producing/directing, so that one will be the latest/greatest on your cruise, but Finding Dory should also be showing.
