I'm bummed. I got an invitation today to take part in a preview of Finding Dory. Only I will still be in Cleveland. I called to see if they had a preview on Sunday. Unfortunately it is only on Saturday. I guess we will still be looking for Dory:)

I got my invitation as well, registered and received confirmation for this Saturday at DTD!!! I can't wait!

Would you mind sharing how one registers or receives an invite for a preview. I live in a remote area, and previews are probably not a thing... But in the rare case that they are, I'd love the opportunity. TIA

how exciting! I can't wait to see it!

The invite comes in an email from DVC. It is for a preview showing at the theater in Disney Springs. These invites are generally sent to people who will be in Disney at the time of the preview.

I got the invite too, but that is our MK morning so we are going to skip it.

i got the invite and am signed up - everybody is excited. Just one question - if we are signed up and confirmed, are we guaranteed admission (assuming I show up with proper DVC ID). The reason I am asking is that a couple years ago there was a preview for Frozen here in Buffalo, and the theater filled up and people were turned away (my kids got the last 3 seats, and their Principal was one of those bumped out). I'd hate to miss Rope Drop at MK AND also be bumped out of the movie.

I don't think everyone is guaranteed admission and I would suspect that in order to fill the theatre they register more people just in case people cancel for whatever reason. I know that I will show up earlier than suggested just to get a seat.

We did the preview last November for The Good Dinosaur and I don't think it was filled. This is a DVC event only. Of course I think they did multiple showings of The Good Dinosaur. We got free popcorn and Pop. It was 3d. You cannot even take your cell phone in the theater. You have to check it. That was weird for me but I understood since it was a preview. Happy viewing to everyone! Can't wait to arrive on Saturday Afternoon!

That's great! Would you mind letting me know if there are any parts that would scare 3 year olds? We are renting out a local theater for my dd's birthday and that is the movie we plan on watching. My dd loves Finding Nemo so I think it will be ok. I'm sure she will only watch a little of the movie, but I don't want it to upset her or the other little ones. I would hate to be "that" parent.

Did you get anything else to commemorate the event or just the opportunity?

Sure, I'll post something after the movie on Saturday.

Finding Dory was a fun and entertaining movie. They are some familiar characters but also several new ones. In Finding Nemo you have a scene where Bruce the shark is chasing Marlin and Dory and there is a scene similar to that in Finding Dory. I don't think any of the kids found it scary and the scene was over pretty quickly. I will suggest that you do not leave until all the credits have finished for a surprise. I hope you and your dd enjoys the movie.

We were not able to secure seats once I read the email. It seemed to fill up very quickly. We were able to enjoy the last day of our trip riding our favorite rides instead.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it. My DD had a tantrum the other day because she wanted to see it and I had to explain it wasn't out yet. I'm thrilled it won't be scary for her. Thanks again.
