Finding Characters

Are there specific areas where characters have meet and greets?

In DL, Town Square is a good place to find characters. Ariel has a grotto between the Buzz Lightyear ride and the Matterhorn where she greats guests. Aladdin and Jasmine (and often the Genie) can be found in Adventureland (often Timon, Rafiki, Jane and Terk are around too). Buzz can be found at Club Buzz. Woody and Jessie are in Frontierland, often around the entrance to Pioneer Mercantile. Pocahontas is sometimes seen in Frontierland, along with Goofy or Pluto in western wear. Princesses are often near the castle, either near the Plaza Gardens or Snow White's grotto. Pooh and friends are in Critter Country. In Toon Town, you can meet Mickey in his Movie Barn, Minnie in front of her house, and other characters in various other places. There are some suprising spots to find them. Last night, I was waiting in the wheelchair line for Space and Mickey came out and spent some quality time over there (I've seen many others there--Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Chip & Dale). Once, in the Starcade, I saw Dale and Geppeto playing air hockey. I've seen characters out just inside the main entrance gates and over by Small World also.

In DCA, fab 5 characters are usually found in the Sunshine Plaza area. Various movie characters are along Hollywood Blvd. Chip & Dale are near GRR.

The previous poster covered DL so I'll do DCA.

Look for Cruella in her trailer near the Aladdin theater. Mr. & Mrs. Incredible and Frozone also can be found there quite often. Chicken Little and Co are often in the Animation building.

There are also usually characters keeping people busy near the ToT rope drop when the park has early entry at 9:30. We saw Mickey and Minnie there one morning.

I forgot Monters Inc., Bugs, and Brother Bear.

We saw Sulley near their "door" one day, not sure if other characters show up at different times. We saw tons of Monsters Inc. walking characters in the Block Party.

The Brother Bears can be found in the Grizzly Trail area after their show.

There are Bugs around in A Bug's Land.

During my last trip in August, I ran into quite a few characters mid afternoon on the back side of Big Thunder Mountain -- the back route to Fantasyland. It was the first time I ever saw lots of characters here, and there weren't big lines to visit with them. I'm also used to seeing characters in all the places mentioned by iceskatejen. If you ask at the information booth in the hub near the entrance to Adventureland, they may be able to tell you when to find characters in specific locations.
