If anyone has a trick for meeting up with various friends and family in Cabanbas, I'd love to know how they do it. On the Dream, the seating area goes all around both sides of the ship. It all appears to look the same. On the Magic, we were able to locate a seating area that was out of the way and was easy to find. Last week on the Dream, I probably walked from one side of the restaurant to the other several times. Good exercise, but annoying just the same. I so wish DCL would give each area a name, a letter, a numeral....something.

We agree a general location of cabanas, we tend to have fairly set times to go there, like just before noon so we have a better chance of getting a table, but we may agree, right side, top, outside, or left side.

Its easy really not needing a section.

You can say, near the seafood /salad bar mid right, or near the first self service drinks station right side.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Terrific idea! I hope you mention it to them!

That requires having a brain that knows what side you're on while on/in a ship. Not everyone has that sort of brain. :(

Or some of us have that brain, but it was turned around by rowing Crew, where I still have to remember "OK, I was starboard, and the oar was on my left side, and I was the bow-man which meant I was at the "back" of the boat to MY perspective but to the perspective of those not on my boat I was at the front and the oar was on the right...OK so starboard means the right side and bow is the front" EVERY single time I'm on a boat or ship.

I can't think those thoughts before I've had my coffee or poached eggs, darnit.

I think having little named sections would be absolutely brilliant. :)

I think most people have a brain, they can as they go in, know if there going in the right door or left door, ( right often opens first, left closes last).

So having sections, right. top. outside, left as you go in is easy and a four yo would know it.

Another tip.

Go in together, if a family one points out the table you are going to have, the others line up, the one secures it, gets the cutlery out the napkins, maybe get the drinks, when the others are back, that one then gets their food.

Perhaps use the Navigator app to message each other?
Great idea and yes I can see it now.

@ Dessert area, and when I pick myself back off of the floor, I will be eating next to the aft door/ self service station area.

I agree! This is a great idea! They have sections (colors/characters) for locating your luggage in the customs area; or locating your car in a park parking lot, so it would be really handy in the cafeteria as well. :-)

Easy solution - look out the window and see which way the water is flowing. Face the front of the ship and left/right is the same as on land.

I suppose they could change the chairs from random mixed colors to a blue section a yellow section, red section etc, that would be easy.
