Can you finance an AKV or SS DCV purchase thru disney? if so how many years is the contract for and what is the apr. I would love to buy into DCV and can afford to but dont want to but 12,000 up front if i dont have to. They (disney) ave very vauge on detail at thier sites and i dont want to call them yet as i fear ill get pestered. Thanks for you help.

DVC sales if very low pressure...VERY low pressure. Give them a call and let them answer all of your questions. We went on our first tour about 3 years before we bought in. We sometimes got things in the mail, but no phone calls. If I want to talk to Judy, I have to call her.

Good questions....you can finance thru Disney the APR I beleive is 11.75% for a statement account...you mail in coupons or 10.75% for EFT's. Unless they have changed this is where Disney should be. I'm not sure of the contract lengths, but I do know there are 5 and 10 year terms.

Consider 20% down and take the payment plan spread out over 10 years. But try to pay the note off early. Financing DVC is probably not the most fiscally responsible thing you could do.

I believe that browniemtb is correct on terms. When we purchashed I bought thru Disney then paid entire purchase with a balance transfer check from one of my credit cards a month later . Got 3.9% until paid off. Much better than there 11.75% from them.

The only issue with those is that if you make ANY mistake you will get rate jacked. Checkfree screwed up my payment to Citibank and my 9.99 APR went to 32.99 - no that is not a typo.... My payment was one day late.

Disney has a APR of 10.75% for preferrred and 14.95 for standard. Either for 5 of 10 years with 10% down. If you are able to put down 50%, then you can take out a 1 year at 4.95%.

You can finance for 1, 5, or 10 years through DVC. The rate, as stated above is 10.75 with a direct draft. (which is what we did) I know that it would have been better to buy cash, but the financing option worked best for us. The other plus is that Disney does not report the loan to credit reporting agencies. If you do not own second home, your interest paid may be tax deductible as it is deeded property. You should contact a tax professional to verify that you can make the deduction.

Yea, I am well aware of that. It just happens to be my disney visa I transfered to. With Chase you can set payments up to 3 months ahead. I always had the next 3 payments set, If I happened to forget a month it was already set.
32.99 wow, I have seen them at 29.99 before but that's is the highest now.
