Your first semester seems extremeley easy. whats your major?

just asking...my brothers had to take extremeley hard, practical classes. calculus, the hard stuff. then they started taking the easier classes.

like one of my brothers is a music education major. he takes stuff like music theory, sight reading, piano, etc.

Finished one final: 8 page paper on an economic interpretation by thorstein veblen on the development of automobiles
another final: 6 page paper on The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde
another final: 2 hour astronomy test on dec 20th
another final: 2 hour spanish test on dec 20th

the last two are within half hour of each other.
sheesh.

yeah, stressed out so obviously DISing right now at 3AM...

lol yea my first semester is actually decently easy. I'm a history and theatre double major, so the two theatre classes are really simple. My only challenging class is the history.
But next semester, I'm gonna die. I'm taking Italian 102, Calculus 111, The Bible and Modern Moral Issues, and Writing Through Literature.

Mine are next week.

I'm not looking forward to it. It's not the tests I'm not looking forward to. It's the long periods of absolutely nothing happening. The periods where I finish before everybody else, and I'm sitting there for hours upon hours, waiting for other people to finish so I can go home.

I'm like that.

I comprehend most information fast, and I test quickly. I can finish an hour long test in five minutes. My classes have two hour blocks on thrus. and friday. I'll be finished within thirty minutes.

Those will be boring days.

Jesuit school? Or are you just interested in Theology?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, Midterms are tests taken half way through the semester, meaning you guys should have taken them in October if at all
Finals are taken at the end of a semester.
Mine are so messed up because my college classes start before my high school classes end. So my finals last for about a month.

I have year long classes. This is the middle of the year for me. I have one semester class, so this will be my final for that class.

Our classes are separated by semesters and we have block scheduling. So this semester I have 4 classes and next semester I will have 4 new classes. Each class runs 84 minutes long. I actually like this system.

So anyway, I am going to have a few finals, heh. Our Honors Lit. final is an ongoing project that we started already. We must write two essays. That is fine for me. I love writing and have actually written 20 page essays in under a day. That is with proofreading. But stick me in a math book and you may as well stick a fork in me cause I'll be pretty much done for rofl.

Our Forensic Science final exam is solving a crime using everything we learned over the course. We are paired up and must examine hairs/fibers/bones/blood/fingerprints/etc. It will be kind of fun...we get to use our notebooks as well (She can't expect high school students to memorize what each fiber and hair looks like *considering the amount she gave us to work with*).

My American Government class will most likely be a project final as well. At least, that is what my teacher is known for. I have had him before. I really do hope so as it would make things a lot more interesting.

Even though these project finals are not your standard/traditional exam, it is a longer process, and lot more work...though also a lot more fun, teehee (for me at least).

My Phys. Ed. class will be a traditional final exam. It always is. But I mean, c'mon...it's PE! lol. I think I know how to throw a basketball into the basket, hit a birdie with a racket and kick a soccer ball, haha.

I am NOT a test taker...lol. I hate tests with a passion and stand so strongly against them. I don't see how they test anyone's level of intelligence because I know that some people, myself included, do less than capable due to stress and nerves.

Anyway, my finals will be coming around January 21. Jan. 21 is the last day of the semester so it will be a little before then. I am not nervous, or worried as the exams are going to be more *fun* than anything. Then...after the finals...it's ALL downhill from there!! I'll be trying on caps and gowns and getting ready for graduation -- so I am really looking forward to finals, actually...haha...just to get a move on!! :rotfl:

12/13- 5th, 6th and 7th and get out at 12:40
12/14- 3rd and 4th get out at 11:05
12/15- 1st and 2nd get ou tat 11:05
after 11:05 on Friday the 15 it's CHRISTMAS BREAK untill January 3 or 4 YEAH!!!

I'm kind of like that. but I freak out and check it over until I find at least one mistake.

Next week...Wed, Thurs and Fri...are finals...

Wed - Economics, and Spanish and English
Thurs - Government, Calculus Pt.1, AP Physics Pt.1
Fri - Calculus Pt.2, Physics Pt.2

The good thing about pt 2, is that if we're not sure on a question we can study at home thurs night and then come back on fri to correct it.

ugh, but I am pretty stressed about thing whole thing.

We had midterms back in Oct.

I had one final last thursday.
I handed in my 54 page senior thesis (required to graduate with a history degree) this afternoon.
I have a 3 hour biology (plant/animal interaction) on wednesday morning.
My 3 hours lit (British Writers) exam is on thursday morning
I fly home thursday night :)
