Going back to WDW after 5 years. Obviously that means I haven't been since COVID. What are my needs to know info

“What do I need to know after five years” is a big question. You’ll need to do some research on:

- Park pass reservations
- New park hopping rules
- Genie+ and Lightning Lane
- Mobile order
- Virtual queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in Epcot.

I imagine you can find some good explainer videos on YouTube.

Great list. Plus:
-loss of MDE after January
-ADR dates at 60 days now
-30 minutes early entry to every park, every day for deluxe hotels.

Read the first post in most of the pinned posts above. Subscribe to the Here Now, Just Back mega thread. Galaxy’s Edge info is in the Galaxy’s Edge subforum.

If you don’t have MDE downloaded to your phone, you’ll definitely want to add it and update it if it’s already loaded.

You’ll need to read up about Lightning Lane which costs and replaced the free fast pass queues.

Those are a good start.

The early entry is for all onsite guests. The extended evening hours at MK and Epcot are deluxe-only
Ahh thank you!! It’s been a few years for me and I’m trying to keep up with all the new stuff too! I’m feeling a touch unprepared but it’s our 9th trip, so I think we’ll make it LOL

oh yeah phew I knew about DME... so what do people do now take cabs?
Mears will be offering a shared bus shuttle service for about $32 per person round trip or a private vehicle service for $200 round trip starting in January. I’m glad I have a trip in at the end of this month to get one last DME ride in

Pretty sure they meant DME—Disney’s Magical Express, which is ending after 2021

Good grief, I did a terrible job here LOL

Yes, I meant DME 🤪 There are cabs, but also Uber/Lyft, shared shuttle services, and private car/limo/bus services. The one recommended through the DIS is FL Tours. I compared them all for our upcoming trip, and even with promo codes for other ones, they still came out cheapest! And they look very professional and a good value for the price.

Great I will look into them. I dont want to risk waiting for a cab
