After first considering DVC back in 2000 (when it was $67 a point :guilty: ) we have finally done the tour and decided to purchase 250 points at SSR. We have now returned to the UK and are awaiting the paperwork to go ahead and make the purchase.

I am sure I will get a positive response from you all ;) , but I hope we are doing the right thing :)

We bought in 2004 after looking at SSR and as this is our favourite location we could not say no. We have since done an add on and have 520 points.

We have used the points for stays at Disneyland Paris and also an exchange in Devon for last February half term.

We have just come back from 11 nights at SSR and 3 nights at Beach Club Villas. We took two sets of friends and got a two bedroom lock off and a studio.

Next year we have booked the 3 night disney cruise using points and hope to stay at both SSR and Vero Beach.

Enjoy the next 50 years of vacations. We are hoping to also use points for the med cruise.

Positive response from me - I've have had such pleasure from my 10-year membership. I took 2 visits to consider it before we signed up - your 6 years wins ;) Lots of time there to think about all the pros and cons.

Congratulations if you do sign in the Mickey boxes! pixiedust:

It took us 8 trips to take the plunge. We signed up for BCVs in June ~ I am so looking forward to our first trip 'home' in March :)

We bought our first DVC points at VWL in 2001 (3 weeks after 9/11) and have since added on at BCV. It's the best £10K we've ever spent! The only regret is that we didn't buy earlier, but to buy earlier we would have had to borrow the money - not something I wanted to do.

Well, there's no going back now, the paperwork all went FedEx this afternoon :bounce:

I can't wait to go home

Congratulations.

Whenever you feel down or just a hard day at work say to yourself I have DVC and you will have a smile on your face. It has been working for me for the last two years and hopefully for a lot longer to come.

So pleased for you.

We signed up on Sunday. No need to feel bad about waiting 6 years - the exchange rate is around 25-30 cents in your favour and with the $15 per point discount at the moment, you have probably not paid any more than you would have done then.

Well done, sounds like you have made the right decision and have so many wonderful holidays to look forward to. :thumbsup2

We did consider DVC ourselves after our 14th Florida holiday, but it's doubtful we will return again - however, it's great to see you have decided to go for it and you have some magical times ahead.

Johhny - how come after 14 visits you dont think you will be returning? you obviousley love the place

PM'd you - do not want to change the direction of the thread.
Wouldn't be fair on John who who quite rightly is very excited at the moment. :)

By the way John we had a tour around SSR in August and it looks fantastic, the rooms are very nice and the resort had a real classy feel to it.

Congratulations John and Deb :cool1:

That doesn't sound quite right - I didn't mean John and Deb as an item.

What I mean is

Congratulations, John!

Congratulations, Deb! :cheer2:
