Our architect called yesterday. She received the first GC bid for remodeling our garage. The price came in right where we wanted it! Heres hopin the other bid will be competitive. 
Heres a description of our project: Tear down the existing 2-car garage. Make one of the old bays a laundry room (back) and private entrance (front). Attach 2 new parking bays. On a new 2nd floor, build DHs new home office including full bath and kitchenette (accessible from new private entrance). Including the parking, its about 1,600 sq ft for about $100 per foot. Thats a bargain compared to some bids we got for a project we cancelled earlier this year. Ive been on
