Finally ready to make a change and need some accountability

Okay everyone...I have finally had it with being overweight and unhealthy. I am not setting a very good example for my children and, frankly, am not very happy with myself.

I have always had weight "issues". Before I got married, I went to WW and lost 50 pounds. I was only 10 pounds away from goal. For some reason I stopped. Not only did I stop going to WW, I started not eating right and little by little all of the weight I worked so hard to get off came back on. I am now 70 pounds heavier than that weight.

I have a trip to WDW in December and I need to lose weight so I don't look like Pooh in the pictures.

I don't know if it's realistic but I would like to lose 20 pounds by then.

So...I am going to keep a running total of all the weight lost in this post. I am going to read thru some of the other posts on this board to get some inspiration as well as support. Just knowing I am not alone helps.

Congrats on starting your journey throught weight loss. I know you can do it. Some things that have really helped me are keeping a fitness journal and a food journal. Something small that you can fit in your purse or bag. That way you'll know how hard you worked and what you are putting into your mouth. I have found that when you write things down you really have to think....man do I really need that 290 calorie Snickers bar? cause then I have to write it down.

It has worked wonders for me.
