Hi all! You were all such a great help for our Christmas trip to DL this last Christmastime, I would love some insight! I've been reading as many past threads as I could find, trying to narrow down our dates for our next trip! We are planning on going for 3 days, 2 nights most likely. Now that I'm going back to teaching in the fall and my DS is starting kindergarten, I'm "stuck" with our school breaks!...haven't had to worry about that in quite a long time!:)

Both I know will probably be very crowded (that is a factor for us somewhat), but here's our options...weekend before or anytime week of Thanksgiving (I know crazy busy, any days you think may be a little better?). Or our other option is to go Jan. 1st-3rd (Sun-Tues...New Year's Day scares me though!). Oh, I guess there is also Spring Break (Mar. 19-23 week), which I'm not sure how crowds compare to the other busy times listed?

Thank you much for your opinions!

I've pretty much ruled out the Jan. 1-3 option, it just won't give us enough time before school starts back and I don't want to feel rushed in case we want to stay more than 3 days.

So, basically my question is as far as crowds go, what has your experience been with mid-march Spring Break time compared to Thanksgiving week? I have nothing to compare it to considering we've always tried to go off-season. Thanks!

You've got a choice: ridiculously crowded or horrendously crowded.

Frankly, when we go we've found that mid-October or early November to be the best for us. We'll pull our kids out of school to do it. If I'm going to be paying Disney prices I'm not going to stand in lines all day and fight through a crowd just to walk around.

Mid-Oct and early November are great. Warm (sometimes hot) weather, extremely low crowds (during the week). Just about everything up and running. Some things you'll miss because they're only on the weekends but who cares? I'd trade missing the few things that aren't done during the week to have max waiting times of 20 minutes.

I hear ya! I would love to do that but just starting a new teaching job, I was trying to avoid taking time off and sticking with our scheduled breaks. It definitely makes it more difficult though knowing if it's worth it! Oh, what to do??!
