FINALLY! My POFQ Review with PICTURES!

We are going to stay at FQ in about 2 weeks!! It's our first stay at a Disney Resort inside the parks!!

I love hearing all this info! We are going for our son's birthdays...they will be 7 and 5...my oldest will actually turn 7 while we are there! We are very excited!

Any more advice on what to do while we are there is welcomed!!

I'd love to.. do you mean while at POFQ or at WDW in general?

Don't confuse posts about POR with POFQ.. we didn't visit POR but the bus takes you through and it seems the 2 have different "feels".... I'm glad we chose POFQ.. it's MUCH smaller which is NICE!

I think that's one thing I didn't like about CBR.. too big and laid out.. I liked really feeling at home at our resort

If necessary get a part time job, babysit, anything and sock that money away for a vacation. My first trip to Disney came when I quit smoking. Every dime I would have spent went into a bucket! I ended up buying a DVC membership with that bucket! You can do it!!!!!!

I'm getting to the point I may be able to save tho and I tihnk I wlil start a piggy bank saving change etc... I would LOVE a DVC membership that's my dream!!! Piggy Banks are essential. We would not be able to go down to WDW each year if I didn't sock away all the change that accumulates around the house. I seem to find the most at the bottom of the washing machine as noone in my house empties their pockest before putting things in the wash.

I even have my own little piggy bank, seperate from the family piggy bank, for the change that seems to find a home on the bottom of my pocketbook every week. This money I use to buy myself some new things to wear at WDW without having to ask DH for money. He gives freely - not a problem, but he's an overspender if you don't watch him, so the less I need the more he can spend - usually on the kids.

LakeAriel - congrats on quitting smoking. I did it 10years ago but never thought the save the money. I usually spent it on the 10 packs of gum it took me to get through the day (plus all the food I ate - LOL)

I have been smoke free for 9 years...I HATE the smell now and am apparently now allergic to it because I cough whenever I smell it. I have not had an urge for a cigarette in at least 8 years. I credit Lollipops and Nicoderm Patches!. I needed to join Tootsie Roll Pops anonymous for a while.

On a serious note I watched my Mom die of lung cancer....Please if you smoke, quit. It's the best thing I ever did for myself or my family.

I want to know more about the evening performer please. Was it by any chance Eliot Dyson? He performed at the recently closed PI Jazz Company, but before that, he performed at POFQ. He was fantastic, and I'd love to see him again. When he was at PI, DH and DS went specifically to see him, because they remembered him from when he'd been at POFQ. I'm so excited wondering if maybe he's back there. I'm going to be at POR next month, and if Eliot's back at POFQ, I'll definitely go over there!

Honestly, you can see where we've stayed from our sig-POFQ rooms are the prettiest ! The walls are a pale blue and the bedding is a bright yellow-the furniture looks deluxe all the way. JUST GORGEOUS!!!!!

Oh dear I wish I remembered his name He's a very very handsome african american man who sings everything from marvin Gaye to Elvis... he plays sax and keyboard. There was a guest.. a YOUNG boy who played guitar and they played some rock too! If this guy WASN"T eliot.. he's still worth the trip. He's SO funny with everyone.. kids too
