Finally moved into new house!

I would have posted this yesterday, but I could not get on the Dis for the life of me. We moved in on Friday/Saturday. Nothing is really put away except the kitchen, but a messy house is far better than a tiny apartment.

This morning I sat at my kitchen table looking out the bay window. My view was of the twin peaks, Long's Peak and Mt. Meeker, with a hot air balloon in the foreground. Can you say, WOW?!?! It was beautiful. It made this last 7 weeks living in that little apartment almost worth it.

Now it's time to start remodeling. Yes, you heard me. We are upgrading all the flooring, starting in the master bed and bath. It was cheaper in the long run to do it after it was built, rather than pay the builder their upgraded prices.

On top of the great morning I just had, after I got to work, I found a great airfare from Denver to Orlando for my September trip. Now I know when I'm going to WDW (time and date) and I am living in my new house.

Life is getting better!!! (that's definately an improvement over my attitude a few weeks ago, huh?)

Congratulations tc! You've had a heck of a year so far and it's not over!!! How's the grandbaby coming along? That's pretty sad that the contractors can't do things the way you want at a price that's comparible to doing it on your own. The views sound awsome! Send pictures when you can.

Congratulations to you! I can certainly relate about a builder marking up his options! We had our builder leave our house with just a sub-floor & then we got our own tile guy in & we ordered our own carpeting & even with that, we put $10,000 on our floors! But at least we have what we really wanted & it's the best quality we could have afforded at that time.

Sounds like you have a gorgeous view!! May we all come to visit you someday???

How wonderful that you also have Disney to look forward too!! You're one lucky person!

Tuffcookie, the ultrasound is Friday, and we'll find out if it's a boy or girl. I'm voting for a girl, Chris (the dad) is wanting a boy, and Kimmi (my daughter) really doesn't care. I'll keep you all posted.

I agree with Tuffcookie. We need pictures. It must be nice to be in your own home again. And the location sounds wonderful. I love the views of the Rockies from Longmont and Boulder. It's been way too many years since I visited relatives in Colorado. Perhaps you need to setup a DISmeet so that I have a good excuse to "go west".

Thanks for all the well wishes and I'll let you know about the ultrasound. At the moment I don't have my computer set up at home. If I get it done, I'll post this weekend. Otherwise you'll all have to wait until Monday (let's hope it's not like it was this Monday, LOL)
