Finally jumping in!

@disneynutz - I can easily see us adding on in the future if the rental market remains strong: rent one resort, stay at the other. Twenty-six contracts is staggering! I can’t even imagine trying to manage that many contracts! I saw another poster who said he had had 1000 pints at one time, and I thought THAT was impressive. But I’m sure your point total exceeded that.

@momtwoboys - We are about the same age as you! And though we recognize that not all of our boys will want to continue vacationing at WDW, we look forward to taking grandkids.(Hopefully a couple of girls!)

@CarolMN - Thanks for your insight. In the past we have always gone the week before the week of Thanksgiving. Since I homeschool, we can travel whenever. We have found the weather pleasant and the crowds low. The only negative is all of the MVMCPs, but we make it work. But, it also has become the tail-end of F&W, which is why I think trying to get in at 7 mo is unlikely.

Also, you echoed my thinking on The Riviera exactly. If it turns out to be AMAZING then we’ll look at our options then. However, I do think that BCV and BWC will still be in demand, despite The Riviera.

I am going to try really hard not to second guess, but I think I would more likely second guess if I went with BLT. Right now my second-guessing will be more along the lines of how much to offer!

we didnt want to extend ourselves with a huge contract, but also know we will at least continue to rent studios yearly like we have for many years! Our boys love Disney also but once youngest graduates highschool we will give them the choice if they want to come along. we just didnt want them to think they have to own dvc just because we bought in. Maintanence fees will always be there. grandkids will always be welcome here too! Offer low and see what happens!!!

As an update, the seller stood firm on the asking price. NBD - I have patience.

Based on some of the offers I've made, I think some BCV sellers are staying firm on their prices figuring they'll rent if they can't get a high enough price. Because some of the firm prices and counters I've gotten seem pretty crazy!

I'm still waiting for the seller to return their paperwork so we can go to ROFR. They're out of town, but the broker expects to get the paperwork from them today. Trying to be patient :-D

I agree. I am just going to keep offering what *I* think is a reasonable price...especially until I see some offer/accept/ROFR info that may indicate otherwise. I am hoping to find a good deal anytime between now and maybe February of next year with Christmas expenses and MFs due, etc.

Really hoping your seller signs and you are off to the races very soon!

It was just submitted! I agree it's important to pick a max price you're willing to pay and stick to it. It's easy to get caught up in the whole offer process!
