Finally!! I found a volunteer opportunity..how 'bout you?

We didn't find any straight-forward opportunities (for lack of a better phrase) in our area, but on Jan 1, I followed one of the e-mail links to contact an area org (food bank) for more information about volunteering. I never got a response.

Yeah, I am a little disappointed in this years promotion. We are going at the end of January and my DD will turn 5 while we are there (I was holding out hope for the bday promotion) I think the idea is great, but I (coming from a very rural area) have found the opportunities limited. I have made contact for several of the listed organizations and have had limited success.
